The HOMERS on here will not see this. LOOK you know me SHEEK. I would love to see LSU win. BUT I can see a ton of reasons [by what has happened so far] That they won't. I have said it before and I will say it again. The only way LSU beats Bama is to play their BEST game of the year and Bama plays their worst.

Correct.

Nevertheless I wished Les would pipe in the Rama Jama non stop for our team and if they should lose at least go down in a fight and not like we pussified out at Auburn and UF.

They werent 1-7 and still had life. The team has given up now. Lsu took bama to ot in 08. We were a miserably bad team. Ut bama in 09.

Bama doesnt have to play their worst. Just not as good as lsu. Our best game vs bamas worst, would be a blow out. That would mean holding them to zero points, rushing for 200+ yds and have met around 75% completion.

It's the best bet.

Sure +9 to +10 or whatever is money in the bank, but I think we win SU.

Alabama has had zero adversity all year due to their surprisingly easy schedule. We will hit them in the mouth, and I don't think they will be able to respond. Once we get rolling, ain't nothing stopping us.

Les will coach this game like the 2010 Alabama game. We already had one loss and Les had several things ready for them that day.

We're going to beat up McCarron all day.

A bad defense is a bad defense, this team gave up 57 to latech and 21 to auburn

I realize some teams match up better than others, but to say aTm will crush state sounds like a reach right now

please notice that aTm got 3 defensive players the week they played us, it doesn't turn you from a horrible D to an amazing D in one week but it does help

I don't deny our offense sturggles and is down from last year, but our Defense will keep us in EVERY single game and it will this weekend. As good as bama looks they still have yet to play anyone MSU is decent but as Chicken said they haven't beat any ranked teams. Then got shut out by Bama.

This is going to be a low scoring game, I do think the advantage does go to bama because they are the better team. But don't think you guys are going to get an easy win out of this. LSU very rarely lets Bama blow them out.

Exactly, they were 1-2 and looked like a contender until played us. They looked good in their win against ULM as well. Very convincing win.

Opponents' Total D rankings to date:

LSU: Florida (6)
Bama: Michigan (9)
LSU: USCe (13)
Bama: Western Ky. (18)
Bama: Missouri (25)
Bama: Miss. State (28)
Bama: Ole Miss (47)
LSU: A&M (55)
LSU: Washington (57)
LSU: N. Texas (66)
Bama: Fla. Atlantic (74)
Bama: Arkansas (86)
LSU: Auburn (95)
Bama: UT (99)
LSU: Idaho (119)
LSU: Towson (FCS)

Shouldn't the two teams' offensive stats be more similar to one another?

You really think these 2 teams are THAT far apart? Seriously? That's just crazy talk dude. LSU is good enough to cause Bama to make mistakes.

WOW.

How about that they are a well oiled machine that has dominated everyone they have played.

YES we will. There is NO doubt that LSU is the best team Bama has faced so far. But they can recover and LSU can't expect to play catch up in the 2nd half like they did against A & M.

You really think LSU'S O can get rolling and dominate Bamas D????

And you don't think Bama will beat the shite out of Mett all day???? Saban will blitz this shite out of METT.

there are many people who think LSUs D is better then Bama's D the simple fact is LSU offense dosen't need to play a lights out game to beat bama they just have to find enough to get a couple of drives for touchdowns and hold bama to maybe under 14, which I believe we can do.

LSU always seems to find something special in these games, and we usually lose by a couple points when we were heavy underdogs, or find some magic to pull out a close vicotry when there was no clear favorite.

Lees first year when he sucked we lost in OT
Sack for a fumble to set up game winning TD
The Phantom extended sideline which took away a INT.
the field goal game
the 2 play 90+ yard drive.

LSU always finds ways to make this game competitive it will happen again.

I personally think we will loose a close one but I could see us winning.

Just FYI, every strength of schedule ranking I've seen has Alabama's SOS rated higher than LSU's. I don't get it because looking at them, they don't really seem comparable. But, it is what it is.

Wow. I'm so tired of defending my team against our own supposed fans. It really is pathetic. If we beat Bama Sat there should be absolutely no celebrating from some of you. As a matter of fact, you should be depressed, because apparently your team will have lost.

Here is where you are wrong. I am just stating what I have seen so far. BELIEVE ME I will be screaming at the TV for three hours Sat night for an LSU WIN. But I am also smart enough to realize that Bama is playing way better as a whole team than LSU is. Just breaking down what I see. To be BRUTALY HONEST. YOU homer fans can't take the fact that an objective LSU fan thinks there may be a reason LSU may lose.

How much do think the bye week is going to help LSU?

Because it seemed to help Florida, a lot.

So you enjoy tearing down your team. Stating how crappy they are. How pathetic the coaching is and how incredibly awesome the opposing coach is and argue people down who claim the above is false but will gladly celebrate if all of the above is proven wrong and you see no problem with this. Sure. Ok.

Two stats concern me and tell me they are good:

1) It's been about 1.5 seasons or so and Bama has given up more than 14 points ... once ... and that was 21 in garbage time to Georgia Southern.

2) The balanced offense ... roughly 200/200 rushing and passing.

Eye test for Bama in the 3-4 games I've watched have been pretty good, too.
