This is definitely surprising. He was very unimpressive last year. If Timme returns don’t see how he gets that many minutes.

It will be interesting to see how he progresses there. He was very unimpressive considering the hype at LSU.

I could see him doing well there.

Wade was not great at highlighting the strengths of his front court guys.

I suspect he will do well there with better coaching & easier competition

If he does, we will know without question that it was due to coaching.

He seems like a good kid who is coachable and Gonzaga seems to have disciplined players under Mark Few, so I could see that. He needs someone to work on being more aggressive/assertive on both ends of the court. He used to pick up cheap fouls in the early going a lot that didn't help with wanting to be more aggressive during more important parts of the game.

He'll have a real coach this time.

He was dog shite at LSU. It doesn't matter what happens after. Facts aren't dependent on other facts.

Best of luck to him regardless.

WCC is a step down in competition compared to SEC so he actually might not be that bad

He was actually great before SEC play, and showed improvement towards the end of the season. Expectations were a little too high for a freshman, imo. He will turn into a lottery pick by the time he’s done at Gonzaga, bet.

Have to agree on this one for the most part. The only one I can really think of who made great improvement was duop reath. The rest kind of just were Uber talented.

Great would be a very big overstatement. He was not a fit for Wade’s system I have no idea why he was recruited here. He does not have the lateral quickness to switch 1-5 which is what was needed from him.

Doesn’t mean he can’t develop somewhere else but I would bet any amount of money he is not a first round pick, especially a lottery pick.
