Yes, most reasonably people are expecting a sub-10 win season this year.

I am also, but sub 10 does not mean a firing, except for idiots who know nothing about reality....
and does not equate to 4

We are playing 3 teams that were in one way or another involved in the National Championship picture. Probably one of the strongest schedules in a few years.

IMO, he is going to have to really screw this up. I'm talking consecutive sub .500 seasons in order to be gone after year 3. Because if Alleva admits that he was wrong here after obviouslt screwing up the Miles situation, he would basically be firing himself.

And we played one of the weakest schedules in recent memory this year and could only muster 9 wins.

So, knowing that our schedule last year was weak and we only won 9 games and comparing that with our schedule next year, what kind of season do you think we will have?

Alleva won’t have a choice. The heat will be so high from donors if he doesn’t fire him they will fire Alleva first.

That’s how I would like it to happen anyway. So that Alleva isn’t involved in the next “search”

And it will be because of the 2019 recruiting class.

For the record, at no point has Ed orgeron proven to be an elite recruiter of his own program.
Do poster realize there is difference between recruiting for another head coach's program and recruiting your own program?

we are supposed to be elevating the program yet we have more players outside the top 50 at their position than Bama has players outside the top 20 at their position.

players outside the top 20 at their position:

LSU- 11
bama-3

I hope this works out.

What’s the point in keeping him to get good recruits only to go 8-4 with them?

Miles doesn't know the answer to that either.

No, they dont. I've been trying to explain this to people. There's a difference trying to convince kids to come play for Ed Orgeron and trying to convince kids to come play for Les Miles or Pete Carrol.

EdO will get 2017, 2018, and 2019. His contract virtually guarantees that with his buyout. The BIG question will be this: will his record in those three years good enough for the BOS, Alleva, and the fans?

He has a 9-4 now. I cannot fathom LSU doing more poorly than 7-5 in 2018 as we have enough talent and coaching expertise to do at least 7-5 and more likely 8-4 in the regular season. (Bowl records are irrelevant as he will be fired or not fired the last week of November)

What will 2019 bring? I think LSU will need to do better than 8-4 or 9-3 in 2019 to cement EdO in his position. We'll need a 10-2 regular season or better.

The thing that will being the most uncertainty is 8-4 in 2018 and 9-3 in 2019.

As I have posted here before, there is no way EdO will be fired in 2018...no way.

I’m not saying that he is.

I’m saying there will be multiple highly ranked verbal commits who arent signing until February, and Ed and Co’s spin for giving Ed one more year is that if we don’t we could lose our best recruits.

You can bookmark this. That WILL BE the propaganda that comes out

8 of our 9 wins were against 6 loss teams.

losing 4 games during the easiest schedule in the last 2 decades.
it's amazing watching you move those goal posts

I'm not necessarily saying you've said this, but a lot of people are saying that O deserves credit for having a winning season as Interim Coach. So, which is it? First year or not? It can't be both ways.

It's predictable. It's been happening since the day he was hired.

Well then please tell us where does the money come from? And can you confirm that the money is happy with the results and plan of Ed Orgeron?

If not, STFU

so you think bringing a new coach would automatically mean an undefeated season ... really ?

BTW, Miles was not fired for his record, but for his arrogance, stubbornness and style of offense.
