re: Ed Orgeron was 2-0 vs Kirby Smart, why don’t y’all think Kelly can beat him?

Any coach with a pulse can put coach Kirby Shart. He wins on talent alone. We’ve seen this showcased every time he’s faced a team with near equal talent. Georgia usually loses those games. The exception was Bama last year when they were down their best two receivers so you can’t really say they were “equal in talent” in that game.

I’d argue this LSU team is worse than 2018 LSU in terms of talent.

But far better coached.

Some fans were understandably down going into the 2018 game coming off the UF loss but i had a good feeling. We crushed them.

I watched them play against Mizzou and they didn't impress me at all. LSU can beat Georgia.

Let me know when Joe Burrow is walking through the doors for this team.

Albeit the NC team was generational, he still beat him the year before with Ensminger as his OC

This was Burrow's stat line vs UGA in 2018 AT HOME MIND YOU

15/30 50% 200 yards 6.7 yards per pass 0 TDs 0 ints
13 carries 66 yards 2 TDs (59 of that 66 came on 1 run).

LSU beat that UGA team 36-16. BTW that LSU team got blown out by Bama.

If Jayden Daniels has that stat line vs this UGA team, what do you think would be the score of the game?

This may be the best Georgia team ever. Not saying we can't beat them, I believe it's a tougher team than the ones Eaux beat.

ehh, because beating a team is more than just who is coaching them. It's about the players and UGA looks to have a better team this year but who knows, if you have a dynamic qb like we have anything can happen.

We just scored 13 points with 86 yards passing against one of the worst pass defenses in college football last week.

Now do UGA V Kent St and UGA V Mizzou.

Impossible no, improbable MAY be. I like the matchup against UGA MUCH better than I liked the matchup on paper against the Gumps.

LSU plays sound in all 3 facets and we run with anyone in my opinion. We lack in any of the 3 and we can get dogwalked by several teams out there including UGA. I like that A) we’re having the discussion of who and how the SECCG is won in year 1 of CBK, and B) it seems this Tigers team is just gritty, not flawless certainly, but just kinda have taken on a we refuse to lose swag. GDT’s.

True, but we could have won that game by 40. Total domination.

They’ve had the same caliber team for the last 5 years

No, they haven't. in 2018 they had just had their first #1 recruiting class and only 2 of their previous 5 recruiting classes were top 5. Their 5-year recruiting average was 4.8 in 2018. LSU's 5-year average was 6.4

This year Georgia's 5-year recruiting average is 2.2, and LSU's is 6.8.

The talent gap has increased and LSU does not have Joe Burrow.

That being said, LSU can beat Georgia. Will they? Well, if I knew that, I would be wealthy But if LSU wants to win, they will have to play a nearly perfect game and even then Georgia will have to make a few mistakes (perhaps induced by HP40).

I think this team would be a toss up with that 2018 Georgia team, and maybe the 2019 one too, but the Georgia team the last two years is different than those.

After all, Missouri has had it’s way with LSU in the past, why wouldn’t they beat us this year?
