It is a known FACT that Canada wasn’t Ed Os pick. It was Allevas. O wanted Kiffen and Allevas dumb arse didn’t wanna pay him. I’ll concede that orgeron picked Pelini. That’s fine. But we all know Canada wasn’t his guy.

I did by say arguably but that’s more considering where everyone preseason had us picked. That’s fine. I meant it as a coaching standpoint. Not a success standpoint. But I’m ok with it. I made a mistake.

Just because Alleva didn’t sign off on Kiffen doesn’t mean O didn’t hire Canada.
You don’t always get your first choice but you are still responsible for the choice you do make.
And it is also well known that O wouldn’t let Canada fully run the offense he wanted to run.
FFS, when hired Ed said he’d get the best coordinators and let them do their job.
He did the exact opposite with Canada.
I don’t know if Canada would have worked in the SEC or not, but he never had a chance with Ed in his way.

This is totally false, Orgeron wanted Ensminger and even lied about contacting candidates he never did to force Ensminger in but Aranda mentioned Canada and they made the call. Kiffin was never on the table or considered.

Ed is an extremely flawed head coach. I don't think he's particularly good, but he does deserve the credit for getting Joe Brady and Joe Burrow.
