I dont know what sport you are watching then. Top players at too many schools have been transfers for the past few years. Ole Miss built a team of transfers, LSU, Penix from Indiana to Washington led them to the playoff, Nix at Oregon led them to the playoff, Ohio State grabbing Sayin from BAMA & Judkins from OM, Kirby has grabbed great portal additions, Oklahoma, Memphis, Indiana, SMU, Vandy, more than I can name.

Open your eyes.

If Ed O and his staff didn't do the heavy lifting on Nabers, Thomas, Taylor, Campbell, Jones, and Perkins BK wouldn't have won more than 7 regular season games at LSU.

Orgeron had a history of fricking up. This was nothing new. If he would have been focused on the team but still went 11-11 I don’t think he gets fired. It’s what he was doing while he went 11-11 that got him fired. And winning a Natty does not give you the right to f**k off. Not at LSU.

You! If the players expected the HC to bend a knee in 2020 to some crazy leftwing BS then it's on them in the end not the coach.

Reading comprehension?

I dont know how you got any of that from my post.

8-4
9-4
10-3
15-0

Is a pretty solid ascension to a championship. If covid, summer 2020 riots/RC, and Woody didn't push Pelini on O, who knows how 2020 and 2021 would have gone.

Derek you really are a stupid, stupid bitch

Why can’t the O people take the L and quit making excuses for a shitty coach that reverted back to being a shitty coach without burrow ?

No. Orgeron showed the a neanderthal can win at LSU if they work for it. That will pay off in the long run.

What would you have done differently?
He won a National Championship. Best team in the history of the sport.

His DC gets a job as Head Coach.
Then the your Boss, Athletic Director, starts meddling. Hires a guy. DC, who completely destroys the team. You know what is happening . You are no longer in charge of the team but have the title og Head Coach.

Would you quit?
Keep playing the game, knowing what was going to be the outcome?
Play it out and wait for the pay off.
I suspect the substantial buyout was paid, only if he went out with a smile and no talking.
He played the game and was paid.
Who paid? The AD or the fans.

Kinda reminds me of the Movie "The Sting".
Do they deserve the Academy Award.

Are we talking about Brian Kelly?

Do you think many college football coaches don't chase arse?

Orgeron did it when he was single. And it had zero effect on the team.

Didn’t he lose both his Coordinators and have to replace them? Like Joe Brady or Dave Aranda?

Kind of comes with the territory when your head coaching philosophy is “I’ll be a figurehead and hire the best coordinators and let them cook.”

News flash- the best coordinators move on to bigger jobs. The philosophy is sustainable on paper but it involves knocking the hire out of the park every time you have guys leave. CBK learned this the hard way too.

And didn’t he have to settle with Max with no ability to get a transfer through NIL now that our boosters are hemorrhaging money for the program?

Recruiting, roster building, talent evaluation, and development is part of the gig when you’re a head coach. If you have to “settle” on a QB or any other player then something fell through the cracks when you were building your roster. It sucks MB went down early in the season two years in a row and duty of starting QB got put on Max’s shoulders both times but it’s your job to get him ready or start getting the next guy ready or at least be prepared to roll the dice on him- again something CBK also learned the hard way. Hell O got a better deal than most people having to start a second string QB for essentially a whole season gets. He got to see Max as a starter from, what, game 4 or 5 till the end of the season the year before?

Ed screwed us so bad that we made the SECCG the year after he was fired... then 10 wins the next year

Those teams were 80% transfers.

And Orgeron wasn’t coaching.

Only 39 chose to play in the Bowl. We had more scholarship players on Roster, including Nuss. It's embarrassing how some of dummies don't know this.
