He's talking with people/fans in the comments and seems positive.

I'm definitely fishing for a positive spin on this whole situation but if it was a horrible event I imagine Ingram himself would he radio silent.

This makes me feel more confident he will be back with the team.

Awesome timing on violating team rules..

Here’s to hoping he works hard to stay in shape during his suspension

Good to see he’s being positive. Says a lot about his character during time of adversity.

Look forward to seeing him back soon.

Hope so, we need the big guy back.

This can possible change 3 positions on the OL, which isn't good for the continuity that needs to be built in camp.

Lets hope he comes back soon.

Hopefully, but it seems that these suspensions that drop right as camp opens are never good and usually are a full season. Whatever happened it speaks to his character that he is accepting it and not letting it get him down.

Many suspensions happened some time ago and us just announced at the beginning of camp since the media will notice. I doubt this suspension just happened right before camp

Nothing to go on but timing.
With when announced, I would guess not enough hours for minimum credits.
Probably in intercession course or 2 to get hours needed to regain eligibility.

Not familiar with the length of intercession courses? Can you provide some details as it relates to the football season?

I disagree. In the past when it was academics, the coaching staff just said the player was academically ineligible.

This time, it was said Ingram violated school policy. Sounds to me like he did something dumb and got caught. Nothing terrible, but something the school felt it could not overlook.

The way this has been worded it almost has to be academic.
Either his average isn’t high enough or he doesn’t have his 24 hours.
It might be all he needs to do is finish a class he has an incomplete in
or finish up a correspondence course. On the other hand it could be
caught cheating and he has to go before a board.
