I get people want him to play at utah state but its probably not realistic at all. you have to remember that the rules for a certain amount of practice days without pads and contact is still required for him like it was everyone else at the beginning of each term.

He missed the installation of the new system. I do not expect him to play much. If he is ready for Bama, that would be great.

Did they give him a redshirt for last year?
Listed as a sophomore on the official roster so yes, it appears last year was a redshirt year for him. Or at least he didn't lose any eligibility.

He’s been able to practice though, right?

He’s been able to use team facilities but I don’t think he’s been able to participate in any team activities.

He hasn’t been practicing but he’s not coming in totally ignorant either. I’m sure he knows the offense at least in theory. He just has to get up to game speed.

Is there an period required by NCAA where he would have to have a certain number or practices in helmet only to acclimate before being able to go in pads?

Just read comment a few above this. Looks like that answers my question.

New: #LSU OL Ed Ingram appears to be nearing a return. Ed Orgeron is hearing "very positive" things and hopes to get official word in the next couple days.

The DeSoto, Texas native started 12 of 13 games in 2017 at left guard.

Per 247 guys, that’s completely false. He’s been working out with the team and has been on campus the entire time.

Lol. Unless he has just completely forgotten how to play football...he will be starting very soon. He's just too good.
