Did they give him a redshirt for last year?
I asked this question and not sure it was answered. If NCAA suspension, I don’t think he can use a redshirt, but if it was a school suspension, depends on LSU policy.

Can he rush the QB? Just kidding....

Good for him and good news for our OL depth. He was really good in 2017. Hopefully he's been in a weight room and doing cardio and is in some semblance of football shape.

Has he been able to practice with the team at all? I would think that if he was conditioned with the team over the summer then he’ll be ready to go full speed in about 3 weeks. This guy will make our line much better if he’s as good as he was as a Freshman.

What is a reasonable time frame, if at all, for him to get playing time?
Assuming he kept him in decent shape, probably about a month to get learn the playbook and get into game shape.

NCAA practice rules hurt a little bit here, he needs some full speed, full pads time here.
New offense affects him a little, but the protection schemes are the same while the calls are different to a degree (this also changes to a degree weakly so not a huge thing to worry about).
Yes- this is HUGE, for him and the team. He should be applying for eligibility back also. Just in case.
Hell of a player with zero experience as a freshman. He's for real. He was better than Charles at OG filling in. That's how good he is. And Charles is pretty damn good himself.
Now Hines can focus on C, and all starts to get right in the world! So excited all the way around!

Wait. Doesn’t the rule say “5 years to play 4”? How does that play out exactly? Can a guy be on the team for a year and play, then leave school for 2 or 3 years, then come back and still have 3 years to play or does the “5 years to play 4” start the moment they play and run consecutively?

Correct. That part is undisputed. The only question is if he was able to use a redshirt while on suspension

No the link was good. The tweet was deleted. Press conference from O coming at 12:30. They probably told him to delete it before they make it official themselves
