This is what you get with a quick fix attitude from the HC. He doesn’t respect process, he’s reactionary and he hires people he can control over qualified candidates. Now that the word is out on what goes on around here who’s gonna come work under this guy and risk him sullying their reputation?

Lol. I sent him the video break down of it yesterday. Poor guy is in total denial.

Deculus was on skates all night.

It's because his technique is extremely poor. His balance is shitty because his base & foot work are all jacked up. It's why he got overpowered by a smaller defender.

Beyond incompetency from a coaching and S&C perspective. LSU has the highest paid group of grifters in all of college football.

Cmon man, I mean I'm sure this stuff happens even with Saban too....right....?

Didn't they all come back to erase the memory of 2020?

That statement alone should result in O being fired.

Insane how garbage our OL depth is to not have replaced him by now. Picked right back up from where he left off last year.

f the play is to the left of you, step with your left foot first and block the first guy you can.

If the play goes to the right, step with your right foot first and block the first guy you can.

If it's a pass, pass block.

If it's a run right over you, blow the hole open and if he's stronger than you, communicate with the guy next to you for a double team.

Lol. You sound like you’re 8

So, O-Line should improve every game.

I'd say I'm surprised but I'm not. This is what you get when you hire an incompetent meat head to coach your team.

It's a simple zone. About as basic as straight up Power-I blocking, except it's easier on the OL.

It ain’t quite that simple. There are calls based on defensive techniques that affect how the offensive lineman attack defenders. For example, a 0 tech (head up nose) is going to require a double team and there’s three things a nose can do, each will affect the double team differently. Same thing for backers. Their run fits will require different calls by the OL.

Bottom line is that UCLA was moving a lot of guys up front and LSU was NOT prepared for it.

THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. Wtf is Woodward waiting on? Months to prepare and Ingram admits that they didn’t know what to do

but the blocking thing could be a result of having to change OL coaches mid-summer;

Maybe, but UCLA shifted their front 7 on pretty much every play.

Doesn’t seem like a ringing endorsement of his OL coach.

Tired, out of shape, and didn't know what to do?
That about covers what I watched on my TV.
And now we have the excuse that our new OLine coach just hasn't been at LSU long enough.
That is tip top stupidity.
I knew just bringing back the same average Olinemen wasn't going to fix anything on our offense, and unfortuately, I was 100% correct.
We are miles and I don't mean Les Miles, away from mediocrity. This week with two starters out, should be comical. Hope Max doesn't get injured.

LOL ~ You’re missing the point. If you’re confused and playing on the line in football. Simply go back to the basics and hit someone.
