No, and it isn't really close, either.

Eddie Lacy went early at Bama, Nick Fairley went early at Auburn, not sure about Julio Jones.

That said, I don't think any team had more leave than LSU did last season.

I call it an anomaly but players will leave early, it's just part of it. I don't see us losing a ton but players will go and they'll go from every team, it's not exclusive to LSU.

I wish they'd stay but that's selfish to think like that, some have kids to take care of but I really don't see us having a mass exodus again like last season.

Agree with both of u but why do we seem to lose more than other teams? We gave great players but so do other big teams u know?

Tiger wit. I have to agree man. By and large we don't have the player loyalty that seems to be expressed on other teams. Like why doesn't more of the gumps leave early? We no they are great athletes; some important ones are stayin cause it's in their heart to do so. With the tigers. Not so much. Really worries me.

You fricks are so close minded. When you get the chance to make good money, you take it. Les is drafting guys that are too smart. The posters that criticize these kids for leaving early are so dumb as frick when it comes to real world logic and finance. Damn

Well you got the answer you wanted.

Funny how happy all the players look around Miles. Majority consider him like family.

A bama comparison. Shocking. Never expected that in this thread, especially by the OP

They want these players do everything like they expected. Nothing less.

The players don't owe shite to fans. Not even to LSU. They've given enough. Time to try to cash in. IMO I didn't disagree with any of the juniors leaving. Every one of them has more than an average shot of making it in the pros. Staying an extra year could cause more harm for their bodies than good.

Why the hell not a bama comparison? Who is a better comparison? Get real man. Best coach and best athletes overall. The world knows it. Here u go: why did aj stay at qb and not leave early? We hardly EVER keep a solid junior like our two awesome wideouts. Is it silly for us to hope one stays?

Because it's moronic and you obviously have penis envy. You started this whole stupid thread for.

A) Hate on Miles

B) Compare to Bama

Get real man.

Like your assumptions are based on anything real. It's obvious what this thread is about.

why did aj stay at qb and not leave early?

Why would he? He was never considered that high of a pick. He gets to live treated like Bama royalty. The NFL for him could be a downgrade.

Who both are 5'11 and would risk dropping in draft grading next year. Plus Landry has to provide for his family. He's already NFL ready and has no need to stick around while breaking in a new QB. You forget that he practiced with Mett for 3 seasons. They had chemistry him and Jennings can't replicate that quickly. Jennings has more chemistry with the 2nd string receivers.

Both Landry and Beckham would be taking a bigger risk coming back for another year. PLUS they've bled purple and gold. You have no right to judge their choices. What the frick have you ever done for LSU that was so great?

you assholes are so stupid. The CBA allows for players that get drafted late to get paid almost as much as mid round picks

So you are saying they should wait an extra year to go to the draft?

Honestly, they all should go as soon as they can. Better than risking a career-ending injury by playing another year.

no I think he is saying its not much different for a 6th round guy than a 3rd round guy as far as money....

imo it started when clm started playing freshman players..

you have to be 3 years removed from high school so we never had as many players play early , so they never showed what they could do on the field until their jr year....

now you have a lot of players at least getting playing time as freshman and by the time they are a jr they are ready to move on....

I bet if you go back and look at players we had thru out the years the players that leave early has more playing time than the ones that stay until their sr year....

Your post is spot on. Most of the players played significant snaps or started for 3 years. The guys that stay are usually the ones that don't get pt until 3 years in.

It happened ONE TIME, and that was last year. 9 o those players had no chance of improving their stock.

You dumbass motherfricker. Mingo, Minter, Bennie, Montgomery, Faulk, and Ford all stayed four years.

Bama 2009 recruits

Now count how many guys are there for their fifth year and then do the same for ours.

I get so sick of you dumbfricks spouting nonsense without researching any damn thing.

We have had quite a few but not as many as you all.
08 Coffee, Andre Smith
09 Kareem Jackson, and Ro McClain
10 Julio, Dareus and Ingram
11 Dre Kirpatrick, Trent while Hightower was a RS JR
12 Dee Milliner, both Eddie Lacy and DJ Fluker were RS JRs
Probably gonna have 2-3 added to that list this year.

Mark Barron, Courtney Upshaw, Chance Warmack, Javier Arenas, James Carpenter, Terrance Cody are the only seniors with no eligibility left that have been drafted in the first 2 rounds in that same time span.
So it makes sense that your best players see early pt and have generally played as much as most seniors, and it is time to go.

You know, he's right. All of them did their 4 years., All where redshirt Juniors.
But the sky is falling and there is a black cloud over this program and only this program.
Ware and Sam left because well, there was a good chance their stock value would drop. Sam would have been game planned against and double teamed this year and Ware would not have seen the ball.
