After reading his comments to BayTiger, I think he is referring to the poster that said Arrambide struck out a lot.
I don't recall him striking out a lot myself and I haven't seen Scuba's stats other than Thursday.
It's still not a comment to get in an uproar about. When posters start saying a player sucks, or is lazy things along those line, I will call them out myself. Most fans understand how hard these kids work and what a tremendous challenge it is. That poster was just trying to tell another poster to slow down on anointing Arrambide as a starter. They both have a right to their opinions.

I’ll be shocked if he isn’t the starter at SS. He looks very fluid in the field.
Dickinson needs to be in the lineup IMO. He seems to be as advertised and he is constantly moving the offense.
I know it's very early and the logjam in the outfield has carried over to this upcoming season, but I could see Curiel getting an opportunity to start for some unforeseen reason and sticking there if he continues to perform well.
Jake Brown's pitching performance showed him to not be fully there yet, but he battled back from behind in the count on Thursday nearly every batter and his misses were pretty close around the zone. I really love the pitch location graphic that shows the strike zone and wish we could incorporate it full time into the scoreboard for games.

They didn't have it up on Sunday. Like giving a kid some candy and then taking it away.

1st: Dickinson
2nd: Stanfield
3rd: Jones
Interested how Jay configures this lineup, he’s got tons of time put that’s a lot of speed and contact at the top with Bear there to bring them in.
Also he loved Braswell and Milam at the top of the lineup where would they go? So many threats in this lineup

quote:The 2 that stood out most to me were Dickinson and Curiel. Dickinson looked fluid in the field and took some nice ABs. Curiel was on base and creating havoc seemingly every inning. It would not shock me (based on small sample size) if he is starting opening day. Him and DD look like they could be a nice 1-2 punch at the top of the lineup with their speed and ability to work counts.
For you guys that made some scrimmages feel free to chime in with some observations of your own.

Thanks for the information. I’m glad Dickinson will push Braswell. I assume Dickinson can play 3rd?

Dickinson has played 2B, 3B and SS in college but mostly 2B. Reaves is also best suited for 2B. I believe Dickinson wants an opportunity to play SS and Jay is going to give him one. Dickinson has more tools than Braswell but we will still have to see if the glove is good enough. The first weekend was pretty good. He made a couple of double plays with Reaves at 2B that were fairly athletic and I don't recall any errors.
Milam is seeing some time at SS but I believe option one is him staying at 2B and let Dickinson and Braswell sort out SS and 3B. I haven't see Dickinson play anything but SS so far. Braswell has spent some late inning time at 3B.

I think that Jay will give him every opportunity and most reps at shortstop to see if he can beat out the competition and stick there. I'll be curious to see how things shake out by the spring practice schedule when things get more finely tuned regarding player positions.
