Stopped reading at John Emery

Nvm thought Emery was listed as second. Would be shocked if Davis-Price doesnt get the first handoff this season

waiting for the play to come to them instead of attacking and delivering the hit. I have a lot of confidence in Blake Baker to fix that
Baskerville was the only one good at reacting and attacking the run. He plays hard. I would expect him in base defense rotation as that's his strength.

For 3/4 of last year we were without a lot of our DB starters especially at CB. Covid and injuries

And a Chinese fire drill defensive scheme!

got damn.......deculus is back?? what's this? his 10th year?
That brings to mind a point no one seems to have mentioned. Our guys on the OL and a couple on the DL will be older than the mostly normal for their class level aged guys on the other teams. That extra year of maturity does make a difference. Were you stronger or more proficient physically at 23,24 or 21,22?
Course this just means Dec, Logan, and Anthony will be playing in their age 28 seasons!

Please tell me how we won the NC a year & a half ago with a weak Oline? Our fan base is weak...

Scheme, and a shifty back (CEH) that made people miss?

I understand the O Line won award as the best that year, but it wasn't overpowering. They got in the way of the rush on pass plays, giving Burrow enough time to get a pass off. Still, he had to move a fair bit, and he also made a lot of plays where he got hit after releasing.
And go back and watch that Texas game, there were a bunch of times we'd get stuffed on short-yardage plays. 3rd and 2 or less, running for a 1st down wasn't a given.

Yes, but 'weak'? You're playing a top ten team on the road? You will get stuffed sometimes. Clemson,Bama, OSU gets stuffed a lot when they're playing elite teams on the road... Come on.. ya'll are not being realistic about that Oline. The absolute best line that year? Sure maybe not... but i don't understand ya'll calling "weak" a top 10 Oline. They were good, maybe not great, but good; but far from weak. There are 254 FBS & FCS football teams. I'm curious to know what your definition of weak is... Calling them weak is ridiculous. Please study the definition of weak before you use the word.

Anyone with any football knowledge knows that Myles is going to be the starter. Everyone saying Max has recency bias because we beat Florida on some fluky shite and the defense actually played well. Myles put up numbers with possibly the worst offense line performance Ive seen in all my years of watching LSU football.

And you say Brennan doesn't have that dog in him, explain then how he suffered what turned out to be a season ending injury against Mizzou and still carried the team to a chance at victory despite the rest of the teams shortcomings

Anyone calling the 2019 offensive line weak doesn't know football. Of the five starters D. Lewis, L Cushenberry, and S. Charles (until he was injured) were NFL starters as rookies. A. Magee made an NFL roster/practice squad. The fifth starter, Deculus, is still in school. Four out of five made NFL rosters and the fifth is still playing. Think about that. That, my friends, is anything but weak.

However, that was the past and this in now. There are some questions along the line and perhaps the new OL coach can sort it out and put a good product on the field. We'll see....

That OL looked worse than it was at times because burrow would stick with 5 man protections against 6+ man rushes knowing he could avoid it and/or get the ball out hot.

When you look at any game after the Texas game (the team found themselves in this game), you will see that not many guys lost their one on one battles. It’s just purposely left free rushers.

Was the best player from that line.

I think tdp will easily be the starter but someone else is going to have to step up as a homerun hitter.

You are right Myles is entitled to it , he don’t have to earn just give it to him, for the people who disagrees with this , there is several glaring status why his 3 rd down conversion is so bad and he was slow now he’s bigger, how slow can he go

Do we think Cage will compete for playing time? Excited for him to add depth and improve the competition every day at practice

On special teams. If he plays in the rotation, that will mean we are either very decimated with injuries or extremely bad.
