Actually, the link was to SEC rankings, but they are also ranked No. 1 overall, as pointed out above! GEAUX TIGERS!

Too Early Top 25
quote:

1. LSU
This is why the whole Les Miles Hot Seat issue was such a big deal – any new coach who would’ve stepped in would’ve inherited a heater. Leonard Fournette is the star of the show, but he’s just a part of the puzzle with just about everyone else back. Almost all the top tacklers return highlighted by a devastating front four. The linebacking corps needs some retooling, but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Brandon Harris might not be Cam Newton, but he’s going into his third season at quarterback and should be far stronger with his experience and a phenomenal receiving corps to work with. Vadal Alexander is gone on the O line, but everyone else is back.

SEC
quote:

1. LSU
The Tigers have the foundation in place to rise up and have one of those seasons that Les Miles comes up with every once in a while. Leonard Fournette is the bright shining star for a running game that returns every yard produced last season, while the receiving corps could be the best in the country if QB Brandon Harris progresses in his third year. The defense is loaded up front, and while the secondary needs some help, it’s LSU – there are more good defensive backs ready to shine.

Don't care until we earn it.

I heard how great we were last year and our offensive staff failed the hell out of this team. Rather just win all of our games and let it take care of itself.

Defensive coordinator and special teams hurt the team as well

It's not all on the offense. If the defense and special teams can get back to the standards we've been accustomed to then we should see a much improved team.

You picked the crankiest time slot of the week for this. You should've known better.

Being ranked high early allows for a solid foundation for later on.

Right. But it's encouraging that people think we at least have the talent to be elite

I realize the final ranking is ultimately what counts. As a true Tiger fan, I applaud when LSU gets good recognition and is in the national discussion to win it all, even at the beginning of the year. I will applaud even louder when the Tigers win it all.

The fact that people are getting cranky about a positive outlook for the season tells you a lot about what type of people they are.

Louisiana truly has some backwards miserable assholes

They prefer for you to say bassackwards because they all think they are amusing. You are right, these jackasses starting the BH has to improve threads make me mad. There are 21 other positions plus special teams and all have to perform. Ask Clemson if kick coverage matters. This board is loaded with dumb fricks who's only understanding of football is whether the offense is scoring or not
