But he got on base 11 out of 15 times.

8 walks/HBP

What he is doing this year is so impressive. He’s not trying to be the hero, he’s just staying patient and not chasing pitches even though teams won’t pitch to him. As long was Tommy White keeps cleaning up the bases after they pitch around Crews, this team will score lots of runs.

Had he only got on base 10/15 times his OBP would have gone down.

Tommy White needs to be a little more patient at bat, too. Does us no good to have Crews on base if we chase a DP.

He leads the nation in RBIs. I think he’s doing just fine

If LSU can find some pitching at the end of the season man this team could go really far. They're so talented it's really a shame with all these injuries.

You want to bring one home with Crews because we probably won't see a player of his caliber in our lifetime again.

Of his four outs:

One was a deep fly ball that was caught in right centerfield with the CF back against the wall

One was a leaping catch at the top of the fence in right centerfield

One was a screaming line drive right at the center fielder

He only had one weakly hit ball, on a check swing, all weekend

I feel bad for him. It’s very likely he’ll get walked or HBP at least 1-3 times a game the rest of the season. Let the dude hit

To think, UK was willing to walk him and pitch to White with zero margin for error. Unreal.

And maybe it "worked." It was better to go to the T9 down 1 than a bunch.

And it’s a testament to his discipline at the plate that both times they walked him it was intentional. They didn’t even try to pitch around him as they knew he would not chase a bad pitch.

the fact that tou need a "but" after a .429 batting average may be the most impressive part

The same was said about Bregman. NIL and draft rules will bring other Bregman/crews talent to school and LSU will get their fair share of them. That being said… yes I’d love for crews to leave with a ring.

I, too, wish Dylan Crews was hitting behind Dylan Crews to protect himself.

It’s not White’s fault. Did you see the way the ball was dressed?
