He can run, all right, just not as fast as the receivers he’s covering. McGlothern is slow. I’ve never seen a CB at LSU who was that slow, and I’ve been watching since the 70’s.

Did you watch the transfer kid from Nicholls last year?

Dwight was actually one of my fav recruits from last year. I think him and Eli ricks can be a good tandem next year imo. He is a true ball hawk. Guess we'll see how much he progresses this season.

That's why he put up 52 points in his debut right?

He is fast enough for corner.

He is getting big in the lower half though.

causing many to get down on him.

We gave him a commitable offer a couple of days before his announcement at the game.
Yeah, I remember thinking LSU had moved on from him and was being surprised when he committed.

Watching it live, he was so damn excited about LSU during his announcement that it was contagious.

My takeaway from that is that Brennan looks good, and Finley doesnt seem to care about his footwork at all.

Kevin Faulk is the only coach that can pull of that hat.

Absolutely, I don't get the constant criticism of this kid, he's got loads of talent.

I think you’re confusing him with Darren Evans

Prob some of both. He's still developing physically and has been hitting the weights hard. He will continue to develop like that.

Dwight showed a unique way of making a big play in the Florida game. Wasn't he the one who had the football go off his helmet into the arms of Jay Ward?

But since he gave his verbal pledge to the good guys, I have always thought he would make his share of plays. It may be from the safety position.

The thing that stood out to me was how slow Finley was with his footwork. It was painful to watch!

Finley just wasn't going full bore in the foot drills like the other QB's, I was really surprised Peetz let him get away with that and didn't get on him about it. He does know how to avoid pass rushes cause he showed it in those games he played by stepping up in the pocket and sliding side to side to avoid it except for the games against Auburn and Texas A&M where he was overwhelmed by their defenses. But his arse was just being lazy in those drills and Peetz should have said something to him.

It may be a situation where no one has ever taught him and they are teaching him to crawl, before walking and running. Getting the steps right now and working on speed later.

I’m betting he’s going for a safety spot. He has good play making ability. If he’s not fast enough on the outside, I’d love to see him get a look at safety.

So let me get this straight, because someone on this board says he is not fast enough to play safety then he should move to safety? Does anyone know what his official 40 time is because this board just labeled him slow? Just watched his highlight film from HS and he didn’t look slow for major HS football in college. He also had his moments as a true freshman in the SEC. Now I admit he had his failures but damn the kid was a true freshman? He will be good no matter where he plays but NO he is not too slow...
