Was the throw to third a standing order or did the kid make a mistake?

Has to be some truth to this. Those three wiffs in a row? The finally pitcher coming out looking like a deer in headlights that saw a ghost pop his first boner…Geez.

One of the best coaches in baseball but unless things change in next couple of years he will be compared to Mike Martin. Martin
he’s the new Mike Martin, it’s not a debate.

Reminds me of Mike Martin from Florida State. Always there, but can't quite get it done.

His teams are (like many) reflections of the head coach. His seem to get super tight at key moments and fold under pressure. Comes from one source…….

He was paralyzed w fear. U could see it in his face. How do u leave lefty again Hernandez and then pitch to Jones. Fireable offense. And I like the guy but he can’t do it.

Jones had a routine ball that should’ve been caught

He’s a really good coach. His players choke. You can’t blame him. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

The left fielder woefully misjudged the ball for sure but the second baseman play was very tough. Had it been a few inches lower it might've been an out but that was off the top of his glove that was by no means routine. It was hit hard and just high enough to be off the top of his glove. Can't really fault the 2nd baseman there.

Can’t help but feel bad for the guy. A tough loss for him. Things were starting to go his teams way until they didn’t.
