I keep seeing that somehow Thomas will get hurt by LSU. Is that projection or something? I'm thinking Thomas is a better qb than any other you will see all year and he is the one who will be laying the hurt on LSU. Compare his last years stats to Andrew Lucks. Oh... pretty close. You all will enjoy what you could have had if your coaches hadn't scared him away.

Noted ... See you on September 5th after the game

What Auburn did to you guys (with an OU loaded offense) was NOTHING compared to the beat down you're gonna get in Dallas (on a rebuilding yr)

The sportswriter said it best ... OU vs LSU is gonna be a slugfest, except that Oregon won't be doing much of the slugging

What I like about the prediction LSU 27, Ore 16 is that CFN almost ALWAYS sells LSU short.

No one sees a blowout coming here!!!

I'm calling it LSU 35, Oregon 17

And we're betting the ranch on it

They were both verbals. Not sure who was first. JJ wasn't the priority of the two, I know that. He was a 3 star qb that was going to backup perrilloux and hatch as a third stringer if not fourth.

I have always thought JJ was recruited to be a career backup and never see the field. Funny how that stuff works out sometimes. Well, it's not really funny, but you get what I'm saying.

JJ wouldn't have been offered a scholly had Thomas kept his verbal. Most likely.

Wrong. We had three QBs committed at one point (Thomas, Jefferson, and DC Jefferson).

Back to the concept of being physically maligned:

If DT wants to run his mouth about a team he probably already has some skeletons with, be my guest. Please provide all the bulletin board material possible.
The last thing DT needs is to give LSUs D a reason to hit him harder and drive him into the turf, hard, every time they can.
He's ... Messin with Sasquatch.

OU is Oklahoma.

Oregon is UO or U of O.

Am I the only one who found it amusing that Thomas is claiming *credit* for helping steer Shepard to LSU?

Now he’s [Darron Thomas] preparing to compete against many of the same players he said he helped recruit to LSU for the class of 2008. That includes Shepard and Thomas’ friend Craig Loston, a starting defensive back for the Tigers from Houston.

The Oregon Ducks Football team was running up and down the 2010 college football field last year like there was no tomorrow. Oregon's games against Stanford/UCLA/USC, was over the 50 point mark. 52-41 against Stanford, 60-13 against UCLA, 53-32 USC. The Oregon Ducks football team went undefeated in the regular season 12-0.
The ABC news reporters broadcasting the N/C game were down right sad, and very disappointed because Auburn put the breaks on the freely running Oregon Ducks. Oregon went on to lose the big game against a strong defensive football team, Auburn. The Oregon Ducks also lost in the Rose Bowl against Ohio State in the year before that, L 26-17. So chip Kelly's Oregon Ducks have a two year history of losing to strong defensive football teams. The Question for us to ask then. Is this 2011 LSU football team going to be good enough to be a strong college defensive football team? I believe from what I see and read about this LSU team, is that they will. So I think that they will. But thinking and doing are two different things. So the Ducks QB is looking forward to playing LSU. Is LSU stronger enough to stop him. Well, who really knows, until they play?

Stay tuned.

Loston ain't your friend, buddy. He tried to take his own cousins head off during the AA game.

If not for some backpedaling by LSU coach Les Miles in the fall of 2007, Thomas might be starting against Oregon in this game. In high school, Thomas originally gave a verbal commitment to the Tigers, announcing his decision on local TV in his hometown of Houston.

Yes, JJ has been setting up and leading the voluntary 7 on 7s this summer.

I saw him and most of the receivers practicing this summer when I was there watching my son at the LSU youth camp.
