Did Kelly not sign said contract with an ambiguous morality clause ?
Look I don’t think under normal circumstances you use that to get out of a buyout but the more I read and hear just how disconnected and checked out Kelly was…frick that guy. Use every thing you can to keep him from getting full amount, he doesn’t deserve it

I'm not defending Woody, but how was he supposed to know that the dude was going to take the opportunity of a lifetime and turn it into a golden parachute?
I'm just going to be real with some of y'all. You clearly don't understand how higher position working agreements work. If a company brings you in to be upper management, or an executive, they don't mandate freaking working hours from you in MOST cases.
You're a freaking big boy. It's an absolute insult to force someone contractually to do their job. You pay for results. Meaning, if someone like Brian Kelly can play 400 rounds of golf and still win natties, then fine. However, when they aren't getting the results, and they absolutely DUMP on you by not trying any harder... then yeah... they need to be fired.
Brian Kelly kept playing Garrett Nussmier because him and Garrett have the same agent. PERIOD. That's a freaking problem man.
These are things that shouldn't need to be put in a contract. So, for all of you complaining about this contract... but you want to see LSU just hire a new coach that's good, you're being a hypocrite. A micromanaging contract or one that doesnt have competitive guarentees in it is not going to pull a dude like Kiffin into the university even with perfect PR. You're all worried about optics but meanwhile you think the best of the best coaches are going to come play for a "pay for performance only" contract when you have Florida, Penn State, Auburn, and much more that will offer FAR better contracts.

I just don’t understand what Kelly wants anymore. Why would lsu guarantee his full amount? It’s a payment over 6 years. What if he finds another coaching job? There’s no way LSU can guarantee the full amount without knowing the future. I think we all need to wait for LSU to make a statement on this before jumping off a cliff. We know Kelly is a bitch. Let’s not trust everything he says. Or his team.
