That's def wrong.
And when you don't make that much, you are getting a lot of it back on your return.
I worked as a bartender and paychecks were pretty worthless. They would be under $20 most of the time.
I would never wait tables though. Because in a situation like this, they could have been there for a while and not tip you. That could have been the biggest ticket of your section that night and you are walking out with nothing.

Lol that's why you're supposed to tip otherwise they cant make jack. Now its different at sonic those sumbitches make 12 bucks an hour.

One, it cost the business money on every cc transaction.
The next biggest issue, if your internet goes down. shite weather in LA. Your cards go down. You'd basically have to close instead of doing cash only til your internet is back up.
