He needs to put a little more thought into what’s more important. I bet he would’ve thrown a $20 bill down now just to avoid the chatter about how cheap is. Public perception is everything and his is certainly worth more than perpetuating a stereotype.

Depends. Not all places do cash tip outs on credit cards. That gets taxed and put on your paycheck.

Servers make $2 per hour. Which goes 100 percent to taxes. Meaning all of their income comes from tips. The average restaurant takes 4% of sales from the servers tips to go towards bartender & bus boys. 4% if your $121 bill is 4.84. Meaning he waited on you for 16 cents. Pathetic

Ive never worked as a server, so I don’t want to speak out of turn. But this has to be bullshite. You’re telling me that every cent in hourly wages they earn they have to give to the government?

Actually that is true, unless you dont work enough you might get 2 bucks. But usually your pay check comes back to 0.00.
