why does EVERYONE immediately go to Bama when we do anything negative. The Gumps don't seem to have fun. They are a machine that has sucked the fun and life out of Saturdays with "the process" ...
we are the anti-Bama. we have fun, we party, and we make sure Saturdays are worth living for.
SO frickING WHAT if LSU tweaks the uniform once or twice a season? don't like the purple or white helmets, that's fine that's your opinion. but we have never once trotted out onto the field with a disgraceful all-black uniform or brought out chrome anything or any neon colors.
any uniform iteration LSU has done was either based on the traditional uniform or had some great story/reason behind the change. The only one I can remember that was not the traditional style was the gold jerseys we wore against Notre Dame in a bowl game almost 20 years ago...
so please, bitch about the uniforms when the team is playing exciting football and averaging 55 pts a game, there isn't much else to bitch about, so let's yell at the equipment guys.

This is completely false.

I wouldn’t mind seeing purple jerseys and pants with standard style, colors, and stripes (including on pants matching ones on jersey) and standard helmet once every so often.
Closest I could find

I'm watching highlight on TV I see our Gold Helmets I don't need to squint to see the letters.
I instantly know it's LSU.
White helmets --not so much...
Christ man
You know how you know it's LSU? Look at the fricking scoreboard on the bottom of the TV you moron

This is the dumbest fricking argument I've ever heard. Sorry you're too stupid to know what uniforms we are wearing

The players and the recruits and their opinion means a hell of a lot more than yours.
I see this a lot, and it's just flat out wrong.
You could have all the recruits and players you ever wanted, but if no one cared to watch, football dies.
Sometimes the CONSUMER actually matters, after all, aren't we the ones providing the market demand?

That all purple looks dope. It's a subtle difference but I like it a lot.

Our traditional purple/gold uniforms look like shite to begin with. These are an upgrade at least.

bullshite, you know as well as anyone that recruiting is the life blood of any major program and is one of the fundamentals as to why we are here. If cool uniforms matter to recruits and players then that will always trump the consumer because the consumer will never support a shite product. If LSU was a 6 win team does Tiger Stadium get packed? Hell no. So in this instance, when discussing the aesthetics of uniforms and who it matters to more out of recruits/players or the fans/consumer, the players win out every time and our opinion doesnt mean shite.

That's pretty cool, but not as nice as the gold/purple/gold look. That's the GOAT IMO.

IMO, LSU's finest uniform combination is their All Whites. I like their traditional uniform with their gold helmets and white jerseys. Their next finest combination is their All Whites; same as what they wore against NSU but with their traditional white jerseys.
