I don't think he was playing bad he was just getting very unlucky. Lots of hard hit balls straight to gloves. Glad to see the pendulum swing

BA up to .230 now

He was at .190 a little over a week ago.

.319 BA would be good enough for 6th in MLB right now.

.532 slugging would be 12th.

.167 SBs per game would be 15th.

Plus 2 SC top 10 defensive plays. Yea it's an electric 12 game stretch

Crews isn't "figuring it out." He was a basically can't miss prospect who is a line drive hitter which doesn't match the MLBs morbid fascination with 3 true outcomes approach. They insisted he change his swing to become a power hitter and of course it took time to adjust to their stupid philosophy which has torpedoed a number of promising players' careers. But Crews being the athlete he is, is finding a way to make it work. It's my understanding Nationals fans are not happy with the front office for screwing up a sure thing and potential yearly all star
