Watching Burrow talk about the rbs and names Curry first. Says Curry has really jumped out this week and how comfortable he is with him in the game. Then gives a quick mention of TDP. No mention of Emery. The coaches have shown they will cater this offense Burrow’s liking all year long. If Burrow wants Curry and TDP then Burrow will get Curry and TDP
And for the record, I’m not advocating for one rb over another. I hope Emery stomps a mudhole in OU. Just think we’ll see more of Curry then most people might have anticipated

A 5th year senior, who just won the Heisman, has the right to not give a shite about any freshman's feelings.

With that said, Emery is taking one to the house on Saturday

It will be who Burrow trusts blocking, first and foremost

Not how things work. I don’t doubt that we may not see much emery, but this will not be the main reason.

Players do as coaches say, not the other way around. Burrow just happens to be on the same page as E and Brady

Coach O went out of his way to mention how good Curry has practiced as well. We may see more of Curry than anticipated.

Not in this case. O has said Burrow gets what he wants

We know that Burrow gets the game plan and picks out which plays he likes and doesn’t like. From Burrow’s own mouth “if I don’t like a play then the coaches won’t call it”. Sounds like he will have quite an influence on who’s in the backfield protecting him

As he should, he also can veto plays that are proposed in the game plan.

Burrow could be using the media to sow confusion.

If not, I'm somewhat concerned that our fourth string RB has passed the second string RB who saw significant action throughout the season.

OU is vulnerable to power runners. That's why Curry will play more than Emery. next game make be much different.

TIFWIW, but I noticed that Mike Detillier name dropped Curry during his AFR segment today.

Isnt TDP, in part, a power runner?

And if Burrow is lauding Curry, wouldn't it indicate that Curry is excelling in pass protection, route running, and catching the ball?

In any event, we may be drawing too many inferences from Burrow's words. I would surprised and somewhat alarmed, as I said, if Curry has passed TDP and Emery.

Burrow is also a coach on the field.

He has some sway.

I didn't get to listen today, thanks for adding that. That's an awful lot of smoke from 3 different sources to just pass off as inconsequential.

Whatever it takes to win... I just really want to see how dynamic we are with Emery in the backfield

Said that he’s really made some moves in practice and the coaches know they need to get him some reps.

According to Mike D, it’s going to be all three but in the order of TDP, CC, then John.
