It might look like they’re not trying or not good, but this is mostly on the head coach.

I watched in person in college at Ole Miss how much Orgeron can make a good, hard working player appear lost and lazy.

He beat two teams with winning records in 3 years in Oxford (Memphis twice). His last year the team looked talentless and lazy. The next year, Nutt took that roster to a Cotton Bowl win including road wins over LSU and eventual national champion Florida.

Houston frickin Nutt got those same players that looked lazy, lost, and talentless under Orgeron, and made them look absolutely great.

It really is more on the coaches but its extremely alarming that only 3 or 4 players play like they want to win, everyone else doesn't even care it looks like

You can see in their body language

Point is they could be very self motivated but the head coaching completely makes the team look collectively lost and aloof.

They’re without direction and without a leader.

I don't fully blame them for results. I do blame them for their childish, dumb tweets after losses.

They are children.

All blame is on coach.

Frank Wilson was the only bright spot at OM.

Wilson was responsible for most of that talent.

I truly believe Frank help hold Miles' teams together.

Bull. They know better. They have seen how dumb it is and they are trained in how to handle social media.

He doesn't coach offense he doesn't coach defense

Apparently motivating his players isn't necessary either.

Can't blame O. He doesn't do anything.

Children? I got damn expected by boy to be a man when I sent him to college. I agreed to support him financially in exchange for him performing in school. If he acted childish he knew he was going to join the blue collar world with quickness

The players , Coach Ogerone didn't fire their successful head coach the AD and a bunch of idiots murdered the atmosphere here . Now we will be program rebuilding ,Coach O saved most of last years recruiting class ,last years jr class going bye bye is the biggest problem . NOw the rant is starting to see the cost of a new head coach !

At least half of this is on the players. Orgeron still needs to be fired though.

It's 90% on the coaches. But effort has been lacking as well. That's on the players.

Mathematically, they can still win the West. Unless they are literally going through such a shite storm with the coaches, there is no excuse for the team to have a lack of motivation.

I’m not saying they can turn it around, but if there a time to do it....

I don't blame this on the freshmen. They are out there giving it their all and they WILL be good very soon no matter who the coach is. They are just going through learning pains and need time to get stronger.

However there are a number of juniors and seniors on this team that are lazy and do not show the leadership needed. The number of suspensions this team has had is reflective of a team that is lazy and undisciplined.

While some of the on-field issues I will blame on the coach... I don't blame the coach for the players not being able to stop smoking weed, or the disaster that is Arden Key.

People like Key and Herron are pissing away millions at this point. With all the resources available - academic and personal - at some point the upperclassmen need to grow up.

STFU. Good or bad coach, there is a guy lined up against you each play. You either win or lose that battle.

Our linemen lose more than they win, and so goes the game
