Big Dom said he is currently 315lbs! That’s a big weight gain. Said he would like to play at 300 next year.

I’m honestly worried.
That kid sounded lazy, overweight, unintelligent, and uninformed.
He’s young though so I don’t really care. Plus I’m grown and don’t really care enough to get my panties in a wad.

You might get downvoted but I really agree with this. You can tell a difference between a young man that's just super nervous and one that does not give af. He def sounded like a young man that doesnt care for sure. You can tell scone was trying his best to not make it awkward

It’s very normal to gain weight in the offseason and cut before/during the season

That's exactly how I felt while I was listening to that interview sadly.

When he was asked if LSU gave him a work out regiment to follow, since he wasn't involved in spring, he said yes but he has been working with his guy he was getting him ready.

Then followed that with a question about his weight, and he said he was up to 315. Mascona tried to play that off as a good thing and suggested he wanted to put on weight and the kid was like "It just kind of happened."

So if you are doing your own thing with a trainer, but putting on unwanted bad weight (both of these things by his own admission) then it raises red flags.

I can give the benefit of the doubt on some of the answers, because maybe he was nervous or just not used to giving interviews. But nothing about that one made me feel great.

Maybe Impact Room is great. Don't know, don't really care. What worries me is that he admittedly is ignoring the training program sent to him by LSU.

You have no clue what his workout and diet plan are and for what reason

Maybe there is a reason Coaches don't let Freshman do interviews.

Well one thing is for sure. Bo Davis doesn't do lazy. Maybe it's just the kid's demeanor. Either way, Bo is going to push him to get maximum effort.

Ease up Slappy!

The kid sounded a bit nervous and possibly somewhat camera shy, but to slam him as the not caring, disinterested and/or dumb is way off base and pretty crappy thing to say about a 17 year old kid!

On a more positive note, he was apparently playing at around 290-295 as a senior and the film shows a kid with serious speeds and an explosive first step, so maybe hopefully he can be similar to Booger or Dorsey and give us some meaningful reps as a freshman…

I'm not saying I don't believe you, but going from 273 when he enrolled to 315 now seems like an incredibly hard thing to do. Hopefully that 42 pounds is majority good weight.

Kid will be fine, he need extra weight to play DT in SEC, he will get bad weight off in summer with Tiger training staff, trust the kid and process LSU/Bo Davis has for kid

Did you listen to the interview? I'm repeating stuff that came out of the kids mouth himself. I'm not giving an opinion that he shouldn't be 315. I'm saying that HE HIMSELF said he didn't want to be 315 and that it just "kind of happened."

How do you know he was 273? Never believe any of the height/weight stuff you hear.
