If you’re only basing this opinion solely off of the camera catching Herring complaining about pitch selection then that’s not fair to Yeskie nor to Herring.

Emotions are high during games it’s not uncommon for frustrations to come to a head when things aren’t going well. Cameras caught Travis Kelce yelling an inch away from Andy Reid’s face during the Super Bowl, doesn’t mean Kelce doesn’t want to play for Reid.

Yeskie went to the mound immediately after that pitch and he and Herring were having a seemingly normal interaction.

Sunday morning Herring did not have the usual break to his slider, it’s not a shock that Jay and Yeskie were calling fastballs.

Still looking for the part where I said everyone is leaving. Not wanting to work with him is very different from refusing to work with him. Not one kid is going in those exit meetings giving Jay an ultimatum.

You're playing word manipulation as best you can.

Bottom line here, you are making the claim a bunch of pitchers are on their way out via the draft or portal "due to not liking Yeskie". You make the claim on the heels of a Moffett leaving, which isnt exactly a high leverage guy to start with. You already claimed Herring is gone to the draft.

Let's hear about all these pitchers you know are leaving so we can have receipts. Again, you're the one making the conclusion they dont like him, which apparently you cant come up with any evidence to. Certainly you know a player or two we care about that is leaving because of not liking Yeskie, who is it?

Still…..said multiple times that I don’t know who is going and who is staying. I can speculate on who is leaving just like you can. That’s all this board is anyway is speculation and opinion. Very few actually know anything about what is going on inside the team. While I see frustrated pitchers you may see happy and content.

According to this board there aren’t many you want to stay anyway. Some will be processed, some will leave on their own. Any bubble person will not be swayed to stay because Yeskie has some great development plan for them.

There is no manipulation in these words!

So why are you insinuating there's going to be some kind of mass pitcher exodus based on a complete opinion of "they dont like Yeskie". You are bringing literally zero facts to the table.

What pitchers have expressed to you or someone they dont like Yeskie for you to form such an opinion?

How you interpret someone in a game means absolutely nothing. Pitchers will always show some frustration, thats literally every team out there.

For what it is worth in this conversation, Christian Little was on AFR a little bit ago and he had nothing but good things to say about the 3 pitching coaches he had in his college career. Said he had 3 really good and well respected pitching coaches. Mentioned how Yeskie came it and it is overlooked but the pitching staff as a whole had a better year this season than last season. Said that he was getting told a bunch of different things and Yeskie helped it all click because he was the one who quit trying to tell him what to do and what to fix and just worked on what seemed to work best for him this year and got him back throwing the ball well and with confidence this season.

Hurd and Guidry went backwards

Hurd had a very similar year, and Guidry was better this year.

After what I saw from a lot of pitchers who were supposed to take the next step this year, I hope not. That doesn't even take into account his horrible pitch calling.
I have 1 name for you: Christian Little.

If Yeskie had come last year, and Little developed late last year and was an ace this year, we probably are hosting a Super and making a run at a repeat.

We don't know if it was just timing, but that brief flash at the end of the year from Little will buy a pitching coach time.

This is impossible. We were just told in this very thread the pitchers hate Yeskie and are going to do anything to not come back if he's still here

my complaint at the time was the fastballs weren't up in the zone - think fastballs up and in (with the out pitch being up and away) and breaking low and away (not in dirt) would have worked

Because Moffett is leaving, a guy with limited innings this year and couldnt consistently throw strikes means we're suddenly losing Herring to the draft and a number of other actual important guys because nobody "likes" Yeskie

Continuity for the sake of continuity is illogical. We have some insanely talented arms. The coaching and pitch selection was ....well, lose a regional you did not host. He does not suck. He does not win the CWS.

I hope not, pitching was supposed to be our strength, and became our undoing

While the pitching, particularly early, was not great. It was the reason we were 3 outs away from a super using the bottom half of our bullpen. Our main problem this year was there was only about 3 people in the lineup that could pressure the opposition with any consistency. The bats were very inconsistent all year.
