We’re favored though so why is that worrisome? I mean did you expect us to be some big favorite?

Vandy wasn’t favored by much yet Hawaii got smacked by 53 points. Nebraska lost as a favored team. Utah State was favored by 24 and had a tough time putting UConn away. Oddsmakers aren’t as dialed in the first game in college football. Lots of uncertainties with LSU that Vegas doesn’t know about. I think LSU -3 is about right and hopefully we pimp smack them by 30.

Wouldn't the line move if there was heavy betting on LSU to cover? It probably just means the betting on each side has been fairly equal.

The line would move if the $ on both sides is fairly equal. The % of bets can favor one side while the % of money can favor the other.
That would indicate the public is getting the opposite of the “sharps” or the big $ bettors.

YES. Anyone that follows gambling knows that when there is a close line, but 'everyone' is picking one team then the other team usually wins.

When it seems too easy, it's probably a trap.

Vegas knows how to balance their bet sheets and make their 10% no matter which side wins. There's a reason all those casinos are so big. They know how to win no matter what.

Money line moved from -152 to -165 over the past couple of weeks.

Is that a pretty insignificant move? I got LSU at -154.

Take LSU & give 9 points...something tells me we dominate in the second half!

They want all that lazy FSU money line action to come in to balance the Sharps knowing LSU will win easily.

correct. Vegas doesn't make money picking winners. They try to get equal dollars bet on each side and pocket the vig.

Too many people don't understand what Vegas sports books are all about.

Vegas doesn't always get it right.....check the historical Super Bowl lines......there are a lot of "misses".....LSU could win by 10 or lose by 10......who knows ????

Vegas knows more than we do right now but if you’re gonna pop them, you better get them early. They don’t make a lot of mistakes after 3-4 weeks.
