What he did goes on at Reggies every single night. Every night.

Someone keep him away form Reggies. No, seriously, he should never be allowed in. Ever. for the sake of LSU football

A little yes, but I bet if he's signed somewhere else it would bother me alot more and me and several others here would be spinning it a bit differently.

I only hope that this doesn't come back to bite us in the arse ... and I certainly don't want to hear about it on every televised game.

I'm female ... almost 25 years removed from college. Yes, young adults will be young adults and there will be drinking, fake ids (did both of those myself) and some groping ... Can't say I was ever "groped" or if I was it was so not a big deal that I didn't even consider it that. And plenty of people do play "she wanted it" (his view) or her view "that's not I meant".

I have 18 and 13 year old sons ... I don't want him to ever be charged with "sexual battery" (shouldn't have used assault in the title I guess) ... I also have a 9 year old daughter who I don't want ever to be "groped". A slap on the butt? Call me a bad mom, but depends on the situation.

Like Rosie said, I just trust and "hope CLM kicks him off the team so fast and hard he wishes he were back in that bar with the bouncer".

What will be will be as far as this kid goes. I'll take the route now that he's grown and learned from it ...

Does any trust Richt? He said that he overreacted ... ?????

The 'maybe the girl wanted it' and 'we've all done it' comments bother me...because I'm a 'girl' who was groped more than once back in the day when I waited tables. And, believe me, I did nothing to 'ask for' or 'invite' the totally inappropriate touching, other than, you know, just being female. I'm not going to brush off what *may* have happened just because sometimes males and females do stupid things when they've been drinking.

We had an assistant football coach (late 20's married and father to a baby girl) at a catholic school arrested for carnal knowledge of a female student. Ninety percent of the people my wife and I talked to blamed the girl for being a slut, dressing like a slut and "asking for it."

Felt up a chick in a bar in Georgia.

He can act like Roethlisberger, but can he play like him?

Jury is still out for me. IF and I stress IF he tried to pass himself as Aaron Murray, that would emphasize that he has larger character issues than just getting drunk and horny. We do know he copped a plea for reduced charges, so I think anybody who's trying to blow this off as shite that everybody does should reconsider. You don't want to have character issues with the highest profile player on your team, if for no other reason than that they eventually reappear at the worst time (see Ryan Perilloux).

If it was supposedly worse and got pleaded down to drunk n' groping and was acceptable to the plaintiff, Mett and the courts than its OK with me. He paid his dues so lets let him play and forget about the past. As for using another name is not a big deal it was just a kid who realized he did something wrong and got scared.

My good friend goes to UGA and this is what exactly happened:
He was touching down low (front side) against the girls will. He made contact, she freaked out, cops came and he told the cops that he was Aaron Murray, and they soon realized that he was in fact not aaron murray. Im sure during this whole hook up experience he grabbed her arse but thats not why the cops came.
My friend was at the same bar at the time so thats how he knows.

He also was using a fake ID to gain entrance as he is underage. He got pretty drunk, kept pawing after the girl told him to stop, then tried to split when the cops arrived. FWIW they have a low-tolerance for such behavior in that establishment(and I don't blame them) The kid was suspended immediately for the arrest but then split the sheets with Richt by lying about the matter to him. Richt has expressed regret for the permanent release, in part because he is friends with Zach's mother, a UGA employee. It is also well-known in Ga that Mettenberger expressed what appeared to be sincere remorse over the incident, even after his release from the program. Let's give him a chance in B.R.

It was more than just grabbing a girl's butt. I am not here to argue this point. The kid has another chance. I hope he makes good choices for the sake of LSU. He should have zero tolerance. No drinking on his part while he is on scholarship. Any cases of any kind of run in with sexual harassment or the law and he should be gone.

As someone else said, he only pled guilty because he had other more important things on his plate <sarcasm alert>

My bad. He pled guilty to two counts of sexual battery. Did not realize one grabbing of a hiney = two guilty charges.

quote:

In early May, he pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery and received two concurrent 12-month periods of probation under the State of Georgia’s first-offender act.

Wasn't the beloved QB for the New York Jets involved in some sexual assault investigation when he was at USC? Things turned out well for him, but that was USC and we all know everyone with a pulse hates LSU.

they did turn out well because the DA had not enough evidence to pursue Mommy's charges.

You better not bring this up.

I asked why nobody was talking about it yesterday and got run out of town.

It is very hypocritical because many here that are supporting it would be calling out another SEC school for taking in a criminal.
