After watching several minutes of some of the games this year, the seven letter dirty word is never mentioned DEFENSE!

They do not have a clue how to play DEFENSE and that is what win championships! Turnovers and Defense will place them in the lower echelon of the SEC this year!

LSU actually has the 48th best defensive efficiency holding opponents to 93.4 points per 100 possessions. The turnovers are a problem, but overall we have looked much better than a lower echelon SEC team... Maybe if you watched more than several minutes of some games you could come up with a better troll.

The defense hasn't look THAT bad. I've watched most of the games from beginning to end. They could certainly get better, but this is a bit much.

Well said sir. JJ loves to play man and quick guards sometimes pose a problem for his team but some of that is negated by pretty good post defense. I've a feeling we'll see him break out more zone against teams that are guard oriented.

Really encouraging about the defense stats. Of course there's room to improve but that's better than I thought.

They have a decent shot. Team has potential. I like our chances.

I have not seen all the SEC teams play as of yet, but the conference is apparently better overall. I'm checking out UF/SC and MSU/UT tonight. I've seen Vandy, Pigs, UGA, OM, Bama, TAM, and UK.

From what I've seen LSU has two outstanding players, three guys that are up and down but definitely SEC players. Patterson and Bridgewater have moments and the rest to this point, not so much. Hopefully the rest will improve.

12-6 maybe tough but the team does have potential. I think JG will determine how LSU finishes and if LSU makes the tourney. I'm excited for them

That's the good. The bad is that ranking has come against the 307th worst "offensive" schedule in the country. I'm still not sold on them being a good defensive team just yet

As others have said - 10-12 SEC wins and I think we're in. Plus that first loss to Old Dominion doesn't look as bad now that they're ranked.

Being Kentucky's first/only loss could be big

Let's just not screw this up tomorrow. We have a great chance of breaking the top 25 if we win both games this week

This, it's relative. Still work to do on our defensive issues. But we have shown glimpses like the second half vs. WVU,

Need to step it up starting tomorrow.

Have not been impressed with any SEC team so far. Arkansas and South Carolina look underwhelming considering the hype.
Bama looked ok, but I think that says more about A&M than it does Alabama.

ETA: LSU shouldn't be intimidated by UK at all. They clearly have no Anthony Davis type player this year. I watched the entire Ole Miss game and UK looked pretty pedestrian. I know they're considered a "great" team and have beaten several good teams, but to talk about going undefeated with this squad....I just don't see it.
