Honestly, I felt last night was the most “connected” and “interested” he’s looked all year. Reminded me of his earlier years- pacing the dugout, biting his nails, and setting the defense before every pitch. Maybe this weekend we’ll see him run out and give an ump the business.

How do you tell what is going on in a mans mind, you can make a lot of money if you have this skill. I know what you’re saying though, Skip was the same way I promise. Half the time it’s probably the same thoughts going through our heads...what’s for dinner, playing poker, going to Poke her, etc etc??

Can someone inform me as to the correct facial expressions a coach should pose while coaching a game? Is he thinking, or is he disinterested? Is he daydreaming or is he just constipated? The world wants to know. BTW, PM ain't going anywhere.

It’s dumb that anyone can make judgments on his facial expressions when half his face has been covered up by a mask all season.

People would rather make fun of him & say stupid shite when they don’t pay attention to what’s been going on

We all know it’s time, he knows it’s time, no reason to be disrespectful about it

I don’t get it, makes it seem like there are only a handful of decent people that post here

Pretty sure he has disc issues in his neck which leaves him in considerable pain and probably medicated.

In no way is that an excuse for the teams performance, but might explain why he isn’t animated, moves his head slowly in the dugout and lacks energy. Losing his dad, plus Tommy Lasorda in a short span would only exacerbate the situation.

I hope he retires after this season so that he can go get healthy and enjoy his grandchildren. He has kept us in a position to compete for championships more often than not. While it might not be to Bertman’s level dominance, the game has changed as well and parity is the norm. This isn’t 1990s or even 2000s college baseball.

He’s run a clean program, no investigations or scandals. I appreciate the way he has represented my alma mater and wish him only the best in his next endeavors.

Now let’s go get Tony Vitello.

He isn’t disconnected. He is watching the melt once again when facing a good hitting team.

he keeps doing a shoulder tick which makes me wonder about his health. He's jogging to and from the mound which is something I haven't seen in a while.

Joe Torre always looked like he was taking a shite and chewing ice on the dugout bench.

Well, it's going to keep being said as long as our team underperforms and our coach has that I don't give a frick look about him in the dugout.

He seemed to really lose his drive when his father passed away. I can understand that, we all know it will happen doesn’t mean sometimes people’s perspectives don’t change.

It becomes so damn apparent in these threads that there are people who disguise themselves as LSU fans, but are really Paul Mainieri fans. Same exact thing when Les was here.
