I think stevens is a player. He needs to be on the field and I think he can be a MLB and has the speed and body/strength to play in the league, but he needed to start playing the position like 3weeks ago.

Cox gets hated on and I hate it. He is balling out and defense is as a whole out of position making team not mesh right, resulting in him being out of position trying to cover some else arse that's out of position...

We will see but at this point I wanna see a combo of cox, stevens at LB at all times I don't like seeing either of them at safety over the top, I would rather have cox playing deep safety than stevens if im honest.

I don't like seeing clarke in there unless he is stunting or rushing the passer anything to keep him from playing paddy cake with a TE or Olineman 5 yards behind the Los. He is a player and has all the tools but a mean streak. Maybe that changes.

I hope to see a lot of baskerville he isn't as big or fast but he is wild and gets in the fricking mix. Our defense needs a scrappy dude that's going to be laying the wood giving 100% at all times. His last few games have reminded me of carter level effort. Keep him in or at least more often then clarke.

I WANT TO SEE THE ROOKS!!!
WEBB!!!
TOLES!!
SAMPAH!!
WHITE!!!
MCGLOTHERN!!

From what im seeing from some of these guys starring a blowing assignments your telling me none of these guys can contribute?? I mean you don't want guys to play scared but I mean maybe a little scared of losing their job will wake them tf up?

O decided to throw this season away when he hired Pelini to take over the defense and install a 4-3 when he knew his players were made for the 3-4.

Which is why Bo should’ve run a 3-4 for the first couple of years until the personnel were in place.

But he was too fricking stubborn and impatient, so now we get a shitshow on defense for however long it takes to get those players.

This is the dumbest shite I’ve seen in so long.

You do not use a NT in a 4/3.

We set don't have the depth at end.
Anytime you are starting Andre Anthony at end, you don't have the right personnel.

Once he gets some beasts on the d line, Pelini's system will look much better.
He already has 1 in ojulari but he's a true freshmen

Boom my thoughts exactly, we losing players , which begs the question, why we don’t switch back to 3 4 I’m not a coach asking for a friend

Some teams play a Hybrid 4-3/3-4 with a 0 NT. The Ravens do for the most part. The End is usually a stand up rush end. I’m surprise we haven’t implemented that more instead of a base 4-3. It’s more of a 4-3 under defense.

The personnel is there besides at the LB postion. We need faster LBs that can run sideline to sideline. Clark isn’t cutting it. Wouldn’t say it’s a huge personnel problem. It’s more of an understanding of the scheme problem, which also falls on coaching. It’s obvious when our players are always out of position and missing assignments. The main problem is rushing to switch to a 4-3 with such a short offseason. It’s obvious not all our players fully understand

The problem is less about the DL adapting it is with our lb's. It is probably better to have just 2 or 3 lb's out there instead of 4 just for the simple reason we dont have that many. DL we have tons of those guys and most (logan, feral, and all the DE's fit into the 4-3 better anyways.)

Cox is a fit in 4-3 and so are our DBs.

Cox is ok in a 4-3 but he would be great in the Devin White/Pat Queen role of Aranda’s defense.

I given our personnel I also Find that surprisingly

Especially considering that’s what a lot of the defensive coaches O and Bo are linked to run.

Carroll has run it forever
That’s what Venebles runs (Bo was CO-DC with him at OU)
