I think I just dreamed Brown was dropping more catches.
I thought Stanfield had been awesome outside of one play.

so we went from the best, struggling how to figure out how to play all of the studs, to worst in a single weekend?!?

You say shite like "dropping routine fly balls is the sign of a bad team" then when LSU drops a routine fly ball you don't keep that same opinion. Unless you think LSU is a bad team.
Both of you are fricking idiots when it comes to baseball. LSU has >.980 fielding percentage and those 2 full time are elite fielders. Not the best of arms but can flat out go get it. Brown is in that category with a fricking a cannon arm. Is he an elite fielder? You’re fricking right he is. You shite on Pearson like some sort of shite yet he has arguably top fricking plays in the history of LSU outfielders
Go bury yourselves.

Oof I remember this outfield and it was extremely painful to watch against Stony Brook because a lot of those hard hit balls could've been caught if any of those guys had ANY range.

Brown has 2 errors in over 70 something putouts. Pearson doesn’t have more than 3 errors in 4 yesrs. What a dumb a$$ take. Everyone gets pissed when they don’t dive for balls that can cost runs like Sunday. Just FYI coaches there are times the staff tells them no layouts, keep ball in front. Learn the game!!

errors do not define defensive success for an OF.
Pearson's "Best play" looked exciting because he read the ball off of the bat wrong, took a step in before having to retreat and jump for the ball vs Florida in the CWS.

So tell me what does. Brown drops a ball he lost in sun at the last second determined him to be just average, however he has elite speed that allows him to get to balls in the gap and the arm to hold hitters to singles instead of doubles. I talked to Curiel after the game about him and he said the guy gets to the ball so fast it looks easy. Just saying with Brown/Pearson Stanfield and Curiel in the outfield it’s as good as it gets. Any team would be excited with that outfield.

Brown is athletic as hell, that doesn’t automatically make you a great OF. He is not fully comfortable out there, and if is likely due to lack of reps. Not sure why that is insulting to you
I never said it was bad. You have two guys above average and a 3rd guy that is average. There isn’t anything wrong with that

Not insulated at all. Just wanted to understand your take and explain mine. Im still happy Pearson made that catch against Florida, it was not an easy play. That ball was hammered. ??

How many flyballs did B.Jobert misplay in 2023?

You must be a pretty bad judge of outfield talent. Ive played outfield all my life. This is a pretty good outfield

My observation about ALL the outfielders is that they are usually very nonchalant about flyballs...using one hand and not covering with the offhand, Thus leading to dropsies,

Bad outfield? Try the 3 that we trotted out against Stony Brook that time. Rhymes, Katz, and Edward. No range and no arms to be found.

We quite literally had 3 first-basemen playing the outfield.

idk the higher level OFs all use 1 hand. part of it they say is that they can move the glove faster if they need to make last second adjustments.
