The geriatrics will probably throw in some high fives since their RPI is 243.

I swear to God if our "fans" give LR a victory lap if they win tonight, I'm going to drive over there and personally whip their asses.

YES. Several of us gave them one last night in the parking lot too.

they've taken away most of the victory lap areas down the lines with the new seating and netting

This. I was at the Stony Brook game and was pissed when they did a victory lap.

LSU Baseball fans show appreciation of victorious Stony Brook

Baton Rouge, La. - LSU's College World Series dreams were dashed Sunday night when the Stony Brook Seawolves handed the Tigers a 7-2 defeat to close out the best-of-three series.

But for the fans at Alex Box Stadium, there are no hard feelings. In fact LSU fans and players both said afterwards that they would be pulling for Stony Brook to win it all in their first CWS appearance.

After Sunday night's game wrapped up, the fans gave Stony Brook a standing ovation in addition to congratulating them up close and personal during a victory lap. Victorious Seawolves Pitcher Frankie Vanderka was very grateful for the experience "These fans here...they are some of the best fans around. You would think they might be hasty after we won but every single one of them told us 'go win it all, we're going to be there cheering you on' so I've got to pay my respects to them. They made this time a great experience for us."

Our fan base is full of insufferable crybabies. Already giving up hours before the game even starts. SMDH

We’ve decided that we’ll just line up and form a tunnel for them to run off the field after the game. Mix it up a little bit from the victory lap.

Considering the Epic embarrassment it would be, Victory lap a dozen times would be appropriate

If LSU loses the game tonight, there should be some conversations going on about hiring a hitting coach.

I’d also like Coach Johnson to offer to speak to the Trojans postgame like Coach Bertman did with Tulane in 2001 after the Super Regional.

If Coach Johnson likes, he could also hand out a couple of “Magic Moments” certificates as well.
