Just wanted to get the least relevant post of the thread out of the way early?

This is a funny topic because Eric Martin works at my company. I talked to him Tuesday about the game. When I told him that I thought Diarse reminded me of him, he said that he was only 190 lbs when at LSU not 210 lbs like Diarse. But I had to remind him that a 190-lb receiver was big 30 years ago.

Cool, was a big EM fan and actually bought his authentic Saints jersey #84 and wore it to the 93 game vs Steelers that was a debacle and was banned from wearing again for a while!
Didn't he start 81 season as a tailback, and think bulked up to about JD weight later?

No, number 5 wasn't him. It was 31

Oh well then, I am sure that I read about that guy getting punked by one of our Tigers in impressive fashion that night.

He sure did leave the door wide open for any Tiger with the "want" to publicly pull that card!

JD is the brain, brawn, and athletic ability. LSU is lucky that they have him.

John Diarse reminds me of John Diarse, and that is the only player he damn well has to remind anyone of.

John Diarse reminds me of John Diarse. And I'm really excited to see him progress. I think he will be a great tiger when all is said and done.

He reminds me of Marques Colston quite a bit as well, but I can see the Eric Martin comparison as well.

funny that we played Wisconsin, because he reminds me of Lee Evans. to give you an idea of how productive Evans was, he was a realistic threat to win the Biletnikoff over Josh Reed in 01 (and was later Reed's teammate on the Bills).

obv, he's got a way to go to live to that, but that's the kind of vibe I got from Diarse. Evans was around 6'0", 205 and was a big play waiting to happen.
