You are worthless as a poster

#44 had 6 tackles, 2 solo, 0.5 sack, and dominated the SC tackle. He was always in the backfield applying 13 QB pressures forcing Sellars to scramble and run for 19 yds the entire game. Dude did his job

44 played awesome yesterday. Getting into a perfect position time after time is no easy task.

Tackling a QB in a wide-open backfield is also no easy task. Sellers is huge, fast, and strong. In the backfield, QB has 4 directions he can go. Just by making Sellars move in the pocket we were getting sacks.

Even the great Patrick Peterson got drug 5 yards into the end zone by Cam Newton. Big bodied Qb who are shifty are hard to tackle for anyone. This is nothing new.

Sellers is an incredible athlete. There was a play where Perkins was chasing him to the sideline, and didn’t really close ground like he does with almost everybody.

This is an overreaction. He’s been very good in setting the edge and has been good at creating pressure and allowing others to get a sack by his disruption. He got home last night. Yes the two missed tackles on Sellers was bad but don’t overreact with this take. Geez.

Pyburn is a very physical player who plays like a bull in a china shop and always brings top effort.

Should I also bring up the FACT that it was him playing around with Weston Davis pre-Ole Miss game that apparently head butted the OL and gave him a concussion that scratched him from the game. BTW, I NEVER said he doesn't give top effort. What I said was he can't tackle worth shite! Well, I take that back. I guess he did a number on Davis, huh? I do agree with you on the "bull in a china shop" statement. But you have to play intelligently which means you execute tackles on the opponent AND you don't take out your own players pre-game

Bottom line: great to be in a play to begin with but if you don't execute a tackle you are worthless as a defensive player. He needs to be sitting on the bench!
not at all. He played w tremendous leverage against the run and too Norris off his mark on damn near every pass play. He played like an all SEC lineman last night. You are miserable. You have never played the sport

Great hustle and disrupting.
He should have had probably 5-6 TFL or 2-3 sacks. Can’t wrap up and bring the guy down!
Most of the team is not good at form tackling, they tackle too high for the strip and the ball carrier gets extra yards! Form tackle the guy to ground worst case tackle his knees together he will fall down!

no. I saw him in good position proper leverage on most plays. I do also recognize NFL players have trouble tackling QBs similar to Norris every Sunday.

But when they take him off his spot, and have him scramble out of bounds for little or no gain that is a huge win.

Any asshat that calls that worthless is a mouth breather.

You obviously don’t understand football and I think I speak for most of us by telling you to keep your hot takes to yourself. Pyburn lived in the backfield on a 5 sack as a team night, and Perk played a joker/ rat coverage a lot of the night and took away a ton of holes that Sellers wanted to exploit. They both made a huge impact last night for an LSU win. Something that for some reason, makes you upset.

But when you are supposed to be roaming the field and still don't make more plays like Perkins is supposed to do

Which one of your buddies in the trailer park told you that Perkins has the ability to freelance?? He was covering receivers in the slot last night. If you blitz him off the edge every play, teams will scheme around it. Can’t you just enjoy this MUCH BETTER defense that we have? Leave the X’s & O’s out of it because that’s not your strong point. Baker is doing just fine. Perkins doesn’t have to get 5 sacks a game, that’s not our scheme.

correct. The only way we lose that game was to get gashed up the middle on those scrambles. Pushing him laterally was the game plan. Not allowing him to go to his reads or effectively scramble made their scheme evaporate

I think Chicken should set up a meeting between you and Sellers on streamed video so you can give all of us and Mr. Pyburn lessons on how to tackle him. I think I would pay to see that.

24 total tackles, 1.5 sacks. The only players on the team with more tackles than him are all LBs and Ss.

Post less.
