We sucked at sacks last year. I assure you it's not the coach.

No! Obviously they've bought in to Chavis in his first season there because of the rep he gained from coaching at LSU. So they are playin over their normal levels to impress. Not surprising. but as he's there for awhile then you'll see if his effect there is really happening. It's just like when he first arrived at LSU. things went great until he settled in and slowly the real Chavis and his system started emerging. He built a rep at LSU because of the great athletes LSU continuously receives that allowed him to get away with playin some of the bullshite he calls. Tenn never had the kind of athletes defensively like he had at LSU.

Vs MSU only common opponent

Aggies 2 sacks for 12 yards at home
Tigers 3 sacks for 28 yards on the road

As much as I would love For us to run the score up on the Aggies, part of me would love for us to beat them with 2 minutes to go in the game against Chavis' prevent defense....ya know....give A&M the full Chavis experience. Then to top things off, make Chavis hand Les miles a check for the money his fat arse owes LSU.

Slightly to be honest. But I honestly think that dude is way overrated. I thought our defenses underachieved his entire tenure. He had 8-13 NFL players every season.

Not at all. Their D still sucks.

They give up 182 yards rushing per game, 13th in the SEC.
They give up 374yards total per game, 10th in the SEC.
They give up 5.56yards per play, 10th in the SEC.

They can keep the sacks. And their DEs are sick. Myles Garret already has 7.5sacks and Hall has 5. They can flat out get after the QB.

But you know what they can't do? Stop a run up the middle. They can get all the sacks they want, but until they can stop the run up the middle, I won't be bothered or worried about them.

Not at all. They've played Nevada, Ball State, and Arkansas, and they do have probably the best pass rusher in the SEC in Myles Garrett if not the NCAA, and Garrett was producing before Chavis stepped foot in college station as the DC.

Yep. Just watch the Arkansas game. Garrett as great as he is was being way too aggressive and ended up on the wrong side of a 10 yard gain several times.

Nope, I could care less about the Little Brother Aggies.

Let them celebrate their lead in total sacks while they eat their tacos and burritos.

Lol I forgot that, too. Given this statistic, it's pretty impressive we are where we are.
