Its not like he cured Covid, reversed global warming, or stopped the Poles from reversing.
Its a sport for entertainment only.
He is just a man with amazing athleticism, capable of making millions of dollars.
Glad he came to LSU and entertained us.

Bingo

Also he’s more in the group with Manziel, Griffin and Jackson as far as heisman winners since he didn’t also win a NC. If he would’ve also led his team to the CFP he would be plastered everywhere right now until the playoffs would be over.

Truthful statement that pretty much sums it up.

It’s completely fair. That 2019 team defense is so underrated. So many guys are still on NFL rosters

He’s going to really imprint his legacy in the NFL. He’s the new prototype.

You said, "he couldn't throw the ball 25+ yards for his life last year which is absurd to think about."

He could but he just would not. We should have beat Arkansas a million to nothing in 2022 since their pass defense was ranked close to last. JD just would not release the ball.

It doesn’t upset me, but I agree that he’s had one of the best statistical seasons of any Heisman winner ever (maybe the best?) and that doesn’t seem to get recognized much beyond LSU fans because “muh 3 losses”. The whole process is kinda stupid. Penix getting any 1st place votes is funny to me. They weren’t on the same planet this year.

He wants him to go #1 overall in the draft. He is only defining respect in that regard. I love JD but we’ve seen this scenario a lot in the NFL. If he gets beat up and loses his running effectiveness then I think he’s not as dynamic. I rather him go to a great fit over being a greedy dumbass lsu fan and demanding that he be the first pick.

LSU fans love to complain.

He is one of the greatest Tigers ever and a Heisman trophy winner; how much more recognition should he get. Dude is an outstanding person and great athlete/QB!

Yes, I had a friend of mine text me last night saying he racked up all his stats against teams like Georgia St and Grambling. He's a UW fan and you cannot get some people to take their team colored glasses off.

Wait,

Did yall downvoters read the entire post?

I was skeptical when I clicked the link. But look at what he says. His passer rating blows anybody away.

quote:

None have had a better passer rating or yards per pass attempt than Jayden. His 208 passer rating and 11.7 yards per pass attempt set all time FBS records. Simultaneously leading all FBS players including RB's as a QB in yards per carry at 8.5. All against the #5 SOS.

All time fbs records.

Do t care if it was a crazy year or not. All time record holder.

But if we had a top 60 defense we would have been in playoff.

He won the Heisman and is a project top 10 pick but that isn't good enough for you? You think Grayson McCall or Bailey Zappe or Mac Jones should have gone #1 overall too?

Its not only the 3 losses. It’s the fact that LSU played 4 teams worth a shite this year and loss to 3 of them. No one can look at the schedule and find an impressive win other than Missouri. Missouri is the only team with an SEC record above .500 LSU beat.

Everyone is quick to say how crappy LSUs defense was this year which it wasn’t great but won’t point out that most of the teams LSU played had an equal or worse defense.

You think? LMAO!! I guarantee it. All Heisman winners end up in the college football hall of fame.
