re: Does it bother anyone else it STILL seems Jayden doesn't get the recognition he deserves?

Jayden Daniels has several headwinds to achieving his proper recognition.
First, his team did not win a Natty. That's huge. QBs are unfairly burdened with the obligation to have championship teams. That obligation completely ignores the responsibility of the defense and special teams over which the QB has no control. A great QB might be able to carry an average defense, but no QB can carry an abomination.
Second, within the LSU fanbase, there is, and always will be, a segment that wanted Nuss over Daniels. Many of the Nuss Bussers from the 2022 season and early 2023 got behind Daniels as the season progressed. Many did not, and those fans will take every opportunity to downplay Daniels' success. You will see one or more of them in every thread about Daniels.
Third, to many fans at LSU and elsewhere, Daniels is a running QB or a dual threat QB with the negative connotation of being runner not a passer or at least not a passer first. They have not recognized the simple facts that Daniels had a higher passer rating, a higher yards per pass attempt, and the same TD:INT ratio as another LSU Heisman winner, Burrow. Burrow had a higher comp% than Daniels and more passing yards per game, but Daniels had more total yards per game and more yards per play. But, MORE IMPORTANTLY, you will always read about Burrow being better than Daniels in QUALITATIVE categories. You will continue to see posts about Burrow reading a defense better than Daniels, Burrow being a better "overall" QB, Burrow having "it," or Burrow being mentally or physically tougher than Daniels.
Burrow and Daniels are on a different level from other college QBs. That should be enough. But some will focus on the fact that Burrow won a Natty, and Daniels did not, while ignoring that Burrow had a defense, and Daniels did not.

Heisman winner on an above average team. They’re not going to talk about Jayden leading up to or between every play in the playoffs.
Long story short…. Our defense has kept him from being a prolonged and blown up story.

It did until he opted out. Now I don't care

I don’t know what else you want. Dude won the heisman. Will be a first round pick. I mean besides sweeping the awards circuit, I don’t know what else you can ask for.

C'mon man...what do you want? He's got the Heisman and a whole lot of other awards! Only thing now is where will he go in the draft?
Personally, I think he should be the first QB to go.

That’s just the way it is. Some things will never change.

He also didn’t come up small in the 4th quarter of the most important games of the season. The defense gets most of the blame for the losses which they should but no one wants to admit 14 points in the 4th quarter of all 3 losses combined is pitiful. I know he didn’t play a lot of the Alabama 4th quarter but my point still stands.

I likely make 4x what you do. I make big boy bets and stand to win $30,000 if he goes 1 overall hahaha, so yes it's on my mind.
