She probably makes more from NIL than she would in the wnba.

She'll still be making her money from music in the WNBA she'll just be off Gordon's payroll

I’m sure she will. Why leave to go to the WNBA and make 75k a year when she’s probably making way more than that here.

She’s getting way more attention if she stays at LSU. The WNBA is crap.

She has already stated she was staying.

I don’t think money is the issue, she has money and earning power as a student athlete. I would hope she wants to get a degree.

She will likely return. She will easily make double or more in NIL what she can in the WNBA.

Bro I hate to be a dick but your post is 100% BS. She will make a lot more in the WNBA because she will keep all her endorsements. She has the endorsements not LSU!! This isn't my opinion it's a fact.

She could land a McDonalds Meal named after her. That’s got to be some dough.

I don't see her making "a lot" more. I use to think like you do, but I really think she's a rockstar in college and not quite the same in the WNBA. I could be wrong though, but I actually think it's possible to gain more interest being one of the top college women players than pro.

Either way I don't think the WNBA is paying that much any ways. Like around 75k a season.

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are anomaly’s to have all of that translate to The WNBA. The WNBA is severely messed up and unless they make some serious changes the Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese momentum is going to fade.

I used to think this too - thst college girls could make more on campus that pro but Aaliyah Boston (2022 AP ncaa poy and 2023 wnba ROY) says that is a myth. She absolutely made more as a 1st year pro. The endorsements don’t leave when you turn pro, she said.

I still think there are different factors.

I agree the endorsements don’t just go away, but I still think there are potential for more while being the face of college basketball. What’s going on with the wnba anyways? Meaning is the recent spike in interest declining?

My point is I think the endorsements are at least equal and the pro salary is not crazy. It’s nice sure, but that will still be there.

Btw is Boston the one who has a background in the booth calling games? If so, she does a good job,

I am interested to know how much NIL Boston made in college vs Johnson.

If your NIL money is similar I still don’t see a reason to leave early when you are a rockstar and one of the faces of the sport. If you enjoy college I don’t see why you would be in a rush to leave your friends and take on more responsibility. It would be one thing if the salary was a million per year, it seems closer to 70k per year.

I am also interested to know how much Chavez got to go to OU, because I assumed she was going to Texas.

Y'all don't think Jada Richard will develop into a pretty good PG? She might need one more year, but I liked what I saw out of her when she played.

All she did well was shoot. She did very little facilitating and running the offense, and was usually a liability on defense with her lack of strength which is why she did not get a lot of playing time.

I want her to develop into a top player, but I really didn't see a lot from her in the little playing time she got this year.

They said that about Angel.

Angel had a line of endorsements waiting for her when she left. Flau also has her rap career that is doing well. I think she stays.

It’s interesting. Is angel reese getting endorsements BECAUSE she plays for the Chicago team in the WNBA? Or because she’s already famous? Her team sucks.
Is Alexis Morris making more in the WNBA than what she could have if she had been in the NIL era? Its so person specific.
I’m not even positive how FJ4s game translates. She’s very much a tweener. But she’s already famous and is a name separate from the WNBA. Does HVL make more? I just don’t know. There definitely are some that make more. I think those are the more rare situations though. I think most players will make more in college. Cuz they are being paid to play and many won’t even stay in the wnba long term

Idk if a player has left college after their junior season to go to the WNBA. Angel stayed 4 years, she just waived the extra covid year.

I think good shooter are hot and cold, so that statement is not some groundbreaking news. Shooters shoot and pretenders don't. MKW is the team without her contributions the team usually don't win.
