LSU is no longer a top 5 PROGRAM MAYBE in the SEC WeST 6-2 in 2012 -5 wins and 3 loses in 2013 4-4 in 2014 this is our SEC RECORD THE LASt 3 YEARS. When do you see SABAN GET BLOWN OUT ? Quit comparing Miles with TOP Coaches. THE PROBLEM IS, we have a TOP 3 PROGRAM WITH AN AVERAGE COACH that pulls us down. NOTHING will change cause the PUMPERS find this acceptable from Clock management to no adjustments ect ect ect WE need to change our name from LSU to EXC

contrary to popular belief nick saban isn't perfect and les miles is a good head coach. saban has outrecruited us and la. athletes are one reason why. his relationships with la. high school coaches were very good and miles had some weak position coaches at OL and OC which left the door open for some guys to go elsewhere. nowhere did it do the damage like OL tho with the 3 best OL in the state of La. the last 5 yrs or so going elsewhere. we have got to target these guys earlier and get 'em on board. as far as losing some of the other great high school guys, most of them had baggage or we were just loaded at their position (speedy) so they went elsewhere.
if miles had a qb and better OL, he'd be as good as saban.

Saban could lose in the first round of the playoffs every year and it wouldn't chsnge the fact that he has owned Miles as of late and Miles just went 8-5 with the highest paid staff in America.
I used to argue that Miles was one of the top guys--but Meyer, Saban, Fisher are light years ahead of him and right now Patterson, harbaugh, and Franklin are all better coaches than miles.

IF IF IF IF . Miles was an OL.(and this is 1 of our weak spots,he coached TE's in the NFL and we can not develope TE's, do u see a pattern) He's no coach !!! Let Miles go anywhere else and he is what he is a 500 Coach at Best

Bro, 4 titles and he got them to the playoffs this year. Les and Nick aren't even in the same universe right now.

He did in 2012 and 2013. How'd that work out? Oh right, you forgot to mention that if Les could coach his way out of a paper bag, he might have won a game against Alabama within the last 4 TRIES. give it up. Les is not a good coach anymore. He used to be but he's slipped. It happens to everyone. It happened to Mack Brown, Bowden and Fulmer, and its happening right now to Richt and Miles. Cut bait before we wind up like UT or Tenn--void of talent and excited about just making a bowl game.

NO. The only thing that would have made this season more "palatable" is if we had traded one of our wins against any non-Bama team you can think of for a win against Bama. Its now happened two home games in a row that Chavis has fricking blown it in the end game against our #1 rival. Those games matter far more than any other in the reg. season. It affects the balance of recruits in our favor vs. theirs in the long term. We are seriously fricked as a result and I'm not really sad to see Chavis go.

Goes to show that even Nick Saban can't win every game or as NC every year. Does Bama's season ending loss make this 8-5 year a bit more palatable?
Are you kidding? I'm supposed to feel better about our handicap because some other team struggles in a game they eventually lost?

No, and if anything it makes Miles look worse. There was no reason for LSU to lose to THIS Bama team. Even with god awful QB play.

Not really, it just shows that we really don't know how to stop a 2-minute offense and we don't know how to develop a passing game with a young QB.

Saban's IQ is probably about 30 points higher than Miles's.
Intelligence matters.

Jefferson progressed
No he didn't. Watch the second half of the bowl game vs Ga Tech. He was the same then as he was in the NV game vs. bama. We jsut had a big enough lead that nobody noticed.

Of course not. Miles' ability is not graded relative to Saban.

Would Saban do better with LSU team and AJ at QB? He should have lost 4 even with his own 5 stat loaded team. Arkansas and Chavis gave him 2 wins a gifts.
