People will always worry about the starter. Don’t you know that the best LSU is always the back-up? Well, Burrow and Daniels didn’t get too many questions.

He’s thrown an int nearly everytime he’s seen the field.

He will definitely throw over 10 this year but hopefully he throws 35 tds too

we’ve been spoiled with JD5’s ability to protect the ball, people will have to adjust to Nuss throwing some picks but hopefully it won’t be drastic. I’m excited to watch him against USC.

Nuss can make throws very few can. Of course he is gonna try to stick some crazy throws in there. Aslong as we don't have receivers bobbling them up for tipped ints

He's the most talented QB in the SEC and a future top 10 pick, so no

He is going to throw picks. JD was overly cautious. Many of his running yards came from not pulling the trigger on a pass, especially 50/50 balls. Nuss is going to "gunslinger" a few INTs.

Of course it should be a concern. He's confident in his arm and his ability, so he's going to force some throws he shouldn't. It's who he is.

My biggest concern is not so much him throwing interceptions, it's when and where he throws them. He can't throw interceptions when LSU has the ball in position to score, effectively taking points off the board, and he can't throw interceptions deep in his own end of the field.

I think he can be a good quarterback, but be prepared to scream and cuss at him sometimes. It's gonna happen.

So far his sample size isn't enough. Verdict coming soon.

Nuss will be a solid QB, but he's no JD5. People assume this offense will just pick up where it left off but it won't.

Nuss will be as good as the traditional run game will allow.

Daniels earned a 99.2 passing grade and recorded a 69.1% adjusted completion percentage on 20-plus-yard throws. Those were both the highest marks in the FBS, and they didn't come on a small sample size, either. He completed the fifth-most deep throws in the FBS. He has a tremendous feel for what each throw needs.

But IMO, Nussmeier will throw many more interceptions than Daniels, at least early on.

Here’s a pretty crazy stat:

There were 122 FBS quarterbacks with at least 190 passing attempts last year (Daniels had 327 attempts).

Of those 122 quarterbacks, only 7 threw fewer interceptions than Jayden Daniels.

Odds are pretty good that any QB following Daniels will throw more INTs.

I know he has thrown 4 so far. 2 to Stamps.
I just asked a question it doesn't have to mean spirited.
I just wondered if that was the norm for QB during camp and at scrimmages to iron out the timing and accuracy.

Do ya think that DB's playing against the same guys everyday that they might know what play is coming every now and then?

Burrow threw picks in practice. I remember Devin White rubbing one in on him

JD was overly cautious.

#2 in FBS for passing TDs (40; Nix was #1 with 45).

#1 in FBS for passing TD percentage (12.2% of his attempts were touchdowns; Kaiden Salter was #2 with 11.0%).

#1 in FBS for yards per attempt (11.7; Jason Bean was #2 with 10.7).

#1 in FBS for air yards per attempt (13.55; Nix was #2 with 11.22).

#1 in FBS for QB rating (208.0; Nix was #2 at 188.3).

#5 in FBS for passing yards (3,812; all 4 QBs above him played 13-15 games while Jayden played 12, he would have almost certainly been #3 if he played in bowl game).

He wasn’t overly cautious, he was elite.
