Spurrier on the 20 books lost during the library fire at Auburn…
“The real tragedy was that 15 hadn’t been colored yet.”

Everyone is correct; you guys are good!
I was cleaning out some old files and I came across this ticket stub. I'd kept it as a souvenir from one of the strangest games I ever attended. I was in Birmingham that week on business. My rep was an Auburn grad from the late 1940s and had season tickets for years. When he asked if I'd like to go, I jumped at the chance. I sat on the 49 yard line halfway up on the Auburn side. At the time, these seats were equivalent to their version of the stadium suites as your ticket stubs were checked by security at the door for entrance into the club.
Before the game even started, we had a clear view of the fire directly across from us. We all thought the East stands were on fire. The view you saw on TV was the same view we had. No one watched the first 10 minutes of the game; we were all watching the opposite stands until the stadium announcer told the crowd it was an old building adjacent to the stands and no one was in any danger.
Really weird start to a game, but we won, so I was happy.

Why do you have this wedged in a clipboard from 1957? Get that thing under glass.

I just found 6 unused tickets to the Arizona game that was rescheduled due to Katrina.
To be clear, these were for the game in Tiger Stadium that never happened.
