My personal observation is, it's multiple, they do both gap overload where the back follows an extra man, and zone featuring the cut back for runs between the tackles.
This is the truth of it and why it’s so successful and difficult to defend.
He’s using situational schemes and it keeps the defense off balance. Also like you said, he pulls guards and/or tackles situationally, the ends and receivers being so involved in blocking at the line and downfield.

LSU is not blocking in unique or exotic ways. We run a gap scheme. Lots of dives, duos, powers, and counters.
Kelly ran a gap scheme last year.
This years team and last use gap and zone scheme. Kiffin has relied more on gap scheme than Kelly did. Kiffin is also using much wore outside zone than Kelly did. The major difference is the way Kiffin dresses the runs up. Not predictable based on who's on the field. Patient running back that knows how to make the correct reads on the run. (Coaching matters Frank Wilson).

Those are some outstanding olinemen. And at any given time LSU, under Miles, had one or two like that, at the most. Meanwhile, Bama and Ohio State had three or four.
In 2019 LSU had Saahdiq Charles, Lloyd Cushenberry, Austin Deculus, Damien Lewis, Ed Ingram and Adrian MaGee. Les Miles never had a line anywhere near that good.
Les Miles had good offensive lines because he had mid-level SEC talent and top-notch offensive line coaching.

What examples of exotic blocking are you seeing?

You must have forgotten the three yards and a cloud of dust years we endured his last few years.
I must have forgotten that CLM ran an offense that WASNT three yards and a cloud of dust. As previously listed Lesley had some dudes on the Oline.
