Does anyone else feel like Danny just needs to calm down a bit?

Hes got the long ball down pat and leaves his all on the field. Seems like he takes off a bit soon if his first option isn't there.

Needs to hit his check downs more often. He's a tough SOB, made enough throws today, gave em hell a few times running it.

All to often He creates pressure that isn't there with the way he moves in the pocket

Our OL would even make Tom Brady scared, but they held their own today. Some people thought Danny would be in a full body cast after facing the auburn defensive line

What’s scary is how good Alabama’s D line is

He actually had a pocket today at some points. Jeff Grimes earned his pay big time

I dont think he trusts his oline to not get him killed yet.

The line played their arse off today though. After today I think Etling has to have a little more faith in the pocket. I dont blame him for not trusting before but he got himself in trouble more than once tonight

His arm is weak so he can only throw the ball far enough when everything is calm.

Im so tired of hearing this line.

Etlings arm is just fine for college football. He can make all the throws. He has plenty of issues but his arm being too weak isnt one of them

His arm is fine. It's his timing thats a little off. He'll get it though.

Idk why everyone thinks you need an arm like Jamarcus to play college football. An average arm, intelligence, pocket presence and above all accuracy will take you plenty far enough in this league

Danny Weurful (sp) had a pretty below average arm, but was one of the best college football QB's I've seen.

Id like to see some all 22 film.

As fast and athletic as our recievers are i feel like they should be open more often if they're running crisp routes.

Although Danny has a tendency to not see past his 2nd option so maybe they are getting open. Hard to know exactly what's going on without good film.

Positives: tough as nails, grinds through tough situations, and resilient

Negatives: locks on receivers, finicky in the pocket, and forces balls while under duress.

The offensive wrinkles are starting to unfold before us. The jet sweep and motions, which I have been critical of, opens up the offense in the second half. The scheme grants play calling options we just need Etling to develop more with progressions and check downs. Thus far, the offense has shown they are on a learning curve, embracing the "yet" rather than being defined by a fixed mindset. We finally have an offense with plasticity! Thank you Matt Canada.

He is an absolute warrior and will do anything to win but has many limitations, which have all been listed. My main gripe is he slow to get the ball out. Both balls Moreau missed were late, Etling doesn’t anticipate very well.
