It's still the HC's team though.

So our play calling can rack up points and yards, but it seems that we have to dominate on the OL for it to be successful. It's not the play calling, it's the execution by the OL that is the problem with the offense. Why is that hard for you to understand?

So why can a coordinator like Dave Aranda coordinate top 20 defenses every year, regardless of who he has on his roster? Its because he figures out what his strengths are and builds defenses around it, while having contingency plans to adjust to what offenses are doing. Steve has one game plan. It either works or it doesn’t. He does not scheme or make gametime adjustments. That is the problem.

Miles was blamed because he had 3 different OCs and the offense didn’t make any improvements.

Normally, one bad offensive year can be put on the OC. More than one bad year falls on the HC. In our case though, blame is on O. E is the guy he wanted from the beginning.

The offense is Ensmingers fault but reflects on O just as the defense does.

Because there is more talent on defense than offense. It's not "regardless of who he has", he has better players to work with.

LSU needs 5* OTs in the worst way.

The only NFL talent we have on offense are second year or first year players. THERE ARE ZERO JUNIORS OR SENIORS ON OFFENSE WHO ARE NFL PLAYERS!!!
At this point Ed owns it.
Just the last few years from previous staff I got
Clapp
Pocic
Alexander
Turner
and plenty of good offensive skill guys playing Sundays.

It's the head coach. Coach O said in a pre game interview with Gordy Rush that this offense is run, play action, and deep balls. This is what he wants the offense to be. It's up to Ensminger to be creative with formations and he hasn't. That's why the offense looks so stagnant.

Lol. Then how did he have top 20 defenses at Hawaii and Wisconsin? Go look at the recruiting rankings defensively for those teams. This years offensive line was supposed to be better than last years yet they regressed under Steve’s offense.

However, if he leaves Canada we have a much better offense this year but probably the same record or a good chance we beat Florida.

If he had kept Canada, wouldn't we have lost Aranda?
It was reported there was much friction between Aranda and Canada.

Top 20? When did that be come the standard for LSU defenses? Before Aranda, LSU regularly had top TEN defenses, why do you want to hold Aranda to just a top 20 standard?

Nor does having a one good performance against the worst team in football negate everything that has happened this year. Y’all are crazy in your denial

The main reason for whatever offensive stagnation the team went through can be attributed to the lack of disciplined line play.

Aranda fielded top 20 defenses WITHOUT the plethora of talent LSU has. It proves my point that a good coordinator maximizes performance with the given talent. Steve has a roster full of 3, 4, and 5 star players and has our offense ranked 105th. The man cannot scheme an offense. Its why he hasnt been a coordinator in well over a decade!

The issues lien with both but mostly with hires at OC and QB coach that can’t develop a young QB to save their lives.

Croatian has that problem but w as gifted Flynn. Cameron the same thing as he was gifted Met and couldn’t coach up a QB it save his life. Ensminger has successfully coached one Qb on his career 25 years ago that was already developed too.

This has been the biggest issue.

Further, a horrible strategy of hiring shitty coaches based on their recruiting potential and not skills training and X’s and O’s.

Finally, hiring buddies like Creggs and Arobinson that have proven to be be mediocre to bad. Creggs has never been a legit OL coach and his best success came as ana assistant OL coach. Think about that.

E sucks as an OC, QB and TE coach. All positions there regressed once he took over full time. Our OL is shite though with multiple players regressing under Creggs. This isn’t purely because of injury.

Players fault...

Tiger Ree said we have the best HC and OC in the country.

Deal with it.

75 % OC
25 % HC

But obviously the HC ain’t going anywhere this year because he’s earned it. You have to change some things on offense though, at minimum bring in help for Ensminger with a Co-OC to transition to the future.

The hire of Coach O came with idea that he had learned from past mistakes and he would not meddle with his coordinators. That was quickly proven false with his public messing with Canada’s O.

Add in the fact that coach O had to talk the guy into even taking the gig and the credit goes to coach O.
