Yes. That is not a big ask for 12 teams.

Yes! LSU will be in the top 12

Our D will be improved.
Our O will score enough points.
I have no idea what to expect from our special teams.

No.

I think we’re fun to watch and dangerous, but we need another year or two to rebuild this D to be a competitor.

Now I’m positive the Tigers make it

My honest prediction is we finish 10-2 ranked 9/10and go to the SECCG. Lose the SECCG to Georgia. That SECCG loss drops us out of the playoff and a 10-2 Bama that we beat in the regular season gets in instead.

I think we make it this year

What about our schedule makes you think we “should” make the playoffs?

I think if we beat USC, we're a playoff team from that point on, until we lose our 3rd game. And I don't see us losing 3 games after that.

That's going to be the benefit of playing a good OOC team going forward; not necessarily a boost to the top teams, but it's going to be an edge when you're comparing 10-2 teams.

LSU would have to be SEC Champs OR finish in top 11 to make the PO. (That 12th place will go to a non-Power 4 team.)

I think we have the talent to be a top 11 team on Offense. I do NOT think we have the talent to be a top 11 team on Defense. I cannot see us doing better than 10-2 with9-3 more likely.

Whether a 10-2 LSU team can be top 11 is totally dependent on how teams like Utah/Kansas State/OK State do plus how teams like NDame/Penn State/Mich/Washington do. Just going 10-2 does NOT guarantee anyone a berth in the PO.

My guess is NO, we won't make the PO in 2024.

Will be tough. I think it comes down to how we play in College Station and against Ole Miss.

Are you seriously implying that Brian Kelly needs 5 freaking years to field a championship team? That’s unacceptable

If we beat USC, we are in the playoffs. I don't see Ole Miss nor Oklahoma beating us. That leaves TAMU on the road, Bama, and a random upset as possible losses.

See my earlier post... we're playing USC (and UCLA) in out-of-conference games. That's an SEC schedule, with 2 more P5 teams added. I feel comfortable that 10-2 with that being considered would make us a lock.

Kelly better get this team in the playoffs in year 3. His seat will be heating up pretty quickly if he doesn't.
