If you are a fan, how the F*** do you NOT watch the game?
Posted on 10/8/10 at 10:02 am to extraticket
They aren't fun to watch anymore, you find another hobby I guess.
Posted on 10/8/10 at 10:04 am to LoneStarTiger
I'll be watching...but I'm gonna' start drinking early...tonight.

WOW... you are a disgrace to LSU.
If you want offense and "fun", watch ohio st beat up on their fcs schedule every saturday. Go jump off a bridge.

I live in North Carolina. If the game is on, i am watching it!

I don't complain constantly. I do believe we have 2 of the dumbest coaches in the nation. I do believe our offensive production is not where it needs to be(wr's, Oline, and qb's). But it's not like something on here is going to change my opinion on that.
I will watch LSU go into The Swamp and shut down the Gators.

It's the first time in 30 years of watching LSU football that I am not excited for the games or the season.
You were "excited" for 1990--1994, 21 wins and no NR teams, but aren't for 2010 when we 5-0, 3-0 and ranked in the Top 10?

I have a seven day old baby girl. Watching the game will be the highlight(or low point) of my weekend.
Congratulations!!! My second was born on Sept. 12 four years ago. Having a newborn during football season is a good thing. You're around the house a lot and there's always something to watch on TV.

This has to be THE MOST utterly ridiculous statement I've read in a very long time.
I suppose you were more excited in '90 and '91 when we went 6-5. OR, maybe it was in '92, when we went 2-9 OR in '93 when we went 5-6 OR in '94 when we went 4-7 OR in '98, when we went 4-7 OR in '99 when we went 3-8. Yep, those were exciting years, much more exciting than this year, when we have a fine and highly ranked defense and special teams answering the bell. Oh, and we've won 5 games, already. Messy? Yes. Frustrating as hell? Yes. We still have the Ws and we still have a chance at a better season than those years in spite of all the shenanigans. We also have a team of kids, many of whom who are playing their hearts out and doing a fine job. Those kids DESERVE the fans' support in spite of the other issues. The defense, for example, deserves to hear the fans cheer for them when they play and when the team wins. They're doing their part. Discouraging them, booing the team, the coaches and all the other crap is unfair to those kids. They are doing their jobs and they are doing it well.
I'm not jumping up and down with excitement over what's going on, but I'm excited about the players who are giving it their all and saving our asses from worse things. I stand in support of them and I will not do anything to discourage them or insult them or put a damper on THEIR excitement.
There are a lot of folks out there who should turn in their purple and gold for some other colors. They will not be missed.

I'm not a constant complainer, but I don't plan to watch the game. I'm giving my heart the weekend off.
Please see my post above and stop acting like a wimp.

I just don't see how people can pass this up and not be excited for this game. We have a crap load of talent all over the field, a nasty defense, a Heisman candidate returning kicks, weapons all over the field on offense (granted, being used poorly) and the craziest sum bitch to ever coach on the sidelines so you never know what they might do next. Last weeks butchering of the clock just might be the wake-up that the team needs.

Could be, although I thought that's what the Ole Miss debacle would have done. I guess they forgot about that one and needed a reminder.
Look, I'm as upset as anyone else over the talent we have the lack of proper use, thereof, but you're either a Tiger fan or you're not. There is no in between. It's like being dead or alive. No in between.
I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment and throw in the fact that Les is the luckiest damn coach I've seen in a long time, if ever. This is a pivotal game. I wouldn't miss seeing it voluntarily. I plan to be glued to the tube, adult beverages in hand and good food at the ready. LSU is playing on Saturday night and in the Swamp, at that. Win or lose, I'm going to see it.
If we lose, I'll have more to bitch about and I will, but I will still support this team. If we win, I hope all the wimps and fair weather fans out there miss it and I hope their DVRs all go on the blink.

I plan on watching the game, but not on my new 3 week old 55" HD Sony TV. I will watch it on my old 16 year old Sony in case I throw something through it because of frustration with the coaching on offense. This decision is based on the fact that Jefferson will be starting and that raised the probability by 50% of something flying at the tv.

Only posi-Leses are allowed to watch games now!! Best fans ever!!!

Why subject yourself to these horrors?
I don't know if this is a serious question but of course I'm going to watch. Why? For the same reason I complain about the coaching: because I give a shite. I'm going to brew some beer and when I get done with that I'll turn the game on.

I don't miss LSU games...ever. I don't care how bud we suck on offense I will never miss a game. And we will beat Florida.

I'm not in that group of flakes, but I'll say this:
People who feel this way may very well call themselves LSU fans, but they are casual LSU fans at best; it's not in their blood like it is in some of us.
What kind of true Tiger fan doesn't look forward to the next football season as soon as the clock runs out on the bowl game? What kind of fan doesn't look forward to each & every game they play when the all-too-short football season begins?
What kind, you ask? The quitting kind.
It's okay to be critical of your team as many of us are right now- but by God, you should never run out on them. That's a loser mentality, and I want no part of it.
