Since you brought no data for us to look at -- here, I compiled some numbers for us all to look over.
How are Daniels passing stat ranks in conference relevant to the discussion of which QB is better on our roster?
A) Daniels obviously brings more to the game than just his passing ability.
B) Daniels could have been the 14th ranked QB in the SEC and still been better than anyone on the roster - they’re not mutually exclusive.

Alabama fans murder their relatives for being insufficiently upset over a loss. We can continue to look down on them. I have spoken.

I have watched JD for his entire career at LSU - I have been thrilled at his successes - but I have also been disappointed in his lack of 'superior quarterback' qualities.
He is a way above average runner - he has a tremendous spirit - he is not afraid of contact.
But he cannot throw a decent downfield pass - he has passed up dozens upon dozens of chances to put the ball in play for the receiver to make a play for it - over half of those passes that were never thrown would have resulted in completions for a very long gain putting us in immediate scoring position. Probably 1/3 of those would have been a TD at the time. Those passes were not thrown and instead JD was sacked or ran for a short gain, resulting in a punt.
maybe 2 or 3 of the runs were for 1st downs.
on the other hand - I doubt that Nuss has thrown 2 dozen passes in his entire career here. But of those well over 3/4s of them were perfectly thrown - in stride easy catch or giving the receiver a better than average chance at a completion.
he has throw interceptions on a few = the same result as a punt following a sack of an untried completion down field that COULD have converted to an instant TD or left in scoring position.
I want a competent QB who can put us in the best position to win the damn game. dont care about the game.
I am willing to give any QB a chance to improve on his capabilities - JD this year looks indistinguishable from the JD of last year. I was proud of what he did - but it is obvious he was at his peak.

Did you see Saban pull Milroe after 2 INTs and being down 10+ twice in the 4th quarter?
I saw Saban pull Jalen Hurts in the National Championship game and put in Tua. Worked out really well for them too.

Your statement is a joke.

If you have the ability to read — which it seems like you do, you can see what the stats are in reference to.

What team are you actually a fan of?

Exactly how bad do you want JD to struggle so "your boy" can come in the game?
None at all. I support who is on the field. However, I will not overlook deficiencies and bury my head in the sand when we underperform. Last night was not an underperformance and was just for the Rant to nitpick which I have been part of.
Grambling was just foreplay. The real sex comes next week when conf games start. And by the way we have used our mulligan already this year.
My curiousity is what will you JD patriots do if/when BK does make a change for poor performance. Are you going to protest?

If Nuss kills it I will gladly eat some delicious crow
Done it several times before

If they go with Nuss at some point this year I’ll pull for him as hard as I pull for any other player on the team. I just want to see LSU win football games.

You think that was perfect? How much harder could he have made it for a WR all fricking alone?
What? BTJ caught the ball in stride in the middle of the end zone. It really wasn’t that hard of a catch at all. It looked funny after the catch when he slid out of the back of the end zone when he tried to stop.

So you hate Nuss. Noted.
Posted on 9/10/23 at 7:30 pm to slackster
quote:Actually there are lots of people that say they are close, including BK and lots of sports writers including former players.
The only place where Daniels and Nuss are close to each other is in the heads of posters around here. Daniels is clearly the #1 guy, and you don’t pull your #1 down 14 with 10 minutes to go. It just doesn’t happen.
In the pros it's true that you don't pull your #1 guy, because they have spent a lot to get the best #1 QB they can. The back-up there is way down the food change. But when you have a QB that is not having a great day and you have viable alternative, then yeah, you take your shot. Even a worse player can happen to have a good day, and this can really spark the emotions of your team.
Oddly, football is the only sport that thinks this can't be done (probably due to the limited number of games). In Hockey they replace starting goalies on bad days. In baseball great pitchers get pulled. Why not football?

Did it ever occur to some of you that maybe just maybe the coaching staff does not think that Daniels has played bad enough to deserve to be taken out?
Yes he made mistakes against FSU but the guy still accounted for over 400 yards of offense and wasn’t even close to the biggest reason you lost that game.

That’s why normal fans hate you miserable fricks - you’re fricking bald-faced liars without an ounce of credibility.
