Nope. I don't feel bad for him at all. He hasn't progressed at all. I saw more out of Etling in 2 quarters than I have from Harris in 1.5 years.

A lot of these kids come up through HS and perhaps college being told they are "special" and they actually start believing that shite. Then the day comes that they learn that perhaps they're not that special after all. It's better to learn that lesson while he's still young instead of when he steps out into the real world. So no, given his lack of effectiveness and being able to manage the game, he needed to be benched and let someone else take a crack at it. That said, many athletes at this level have very fragile egos that can easily get smashed whether it is an injury they have trouble coming back from or finding out that they're not a good as they were led to believe after all. I think Miles was trying to manage that and let the kid down easy. It's the same thing he does with assistant coaches he tells to go job hunting.

I'm not either but... what was Harris doing against the "FCS opponent"?

Looks like he had an offensive line and was enjoying himself in that highlight reel....neither of which I've seen lately

The boos towards Harris was uncalled for although many could have been booing at Miles to make a change.

Harris has had multiple opportunities and still has a shot to win his job back. It's all in his head.

He may be a better than average athlete but he has no QB pocket awareness. Etling seems to stand in there and has good fundamentals. This was Brandon's downfall. That and he can't hit open receivers. He has had plenty of chances to excel and has not done it. Even the wide open throws to receivers were not well thrown - just rainbow passes that should have gone for touchdowns. Time to move on......

I know it was during HS, but watch the video skidaddy posted. He wasn't a perfect passer back then, but could've easily been molded into something good.

For some reason, QBs get worse when they come to LSU. Common denominator?

No! He is an adult. He needs to produce results, at a minimum completing 10 yard passes.

Yes. No one can succeed in that offense unless they are bound for the NFL

Yes I feel bad for him. But pulling him is not unjust. Etling deserved to get a chance just like he did over jennings

Absolutely! I don't blame Harris for all of the lack production BUT his accuracy has not been very good.

Certainly, he's an LSU ball player but this isn't peewees. To play you have to produce

I feel bad that he was booed by our ignorant fan base.
---I honestly think the booing is for the inept coaches who put the wrong personnel on the field and call bad plays. Same stuff happened in the Curley era(massive booing)

But, it's obviously impossible for the players on the field to make that distinction.

Yes and no. Yes I feel bad for him because it sucks that he was given PLENTY of opportunities to get it done and he didn't and can't.

No because he was given EVERY opportunity to get it done and he didn't and can't.

Seems like a good kid, though.

Of course I feel bad for him - I'm not a heartless sociopath. However, it had to happen and he's smart enough to understand that his performance warranted getting pulled. I hope that he knows that the fans appreciate his hard work and effort and that the boos were directed mostly for the coaches for not making a difficult decision that needed to be made sooner.

I feel bad that he committed to an offensive plan that has just not worked for him, it kinda sucks. However, he started for us for a full season and he gave it his all, time to move down the depth chart. For the change, I do not feel bad, I am elated.
